SV OU Hisuian arcanine balance !

Hey everyone ! This is the first team I have attempted to build in an aim to get better at the game and I have had decent results with it but I feel like there is definitely room for improvement. Hisuian arcanine is a pokemon I have always liked a lot and I tried to build a team that would let it come on to the field without too much trouble to hit big ! I believe most of the sets are fairly standard, aside from the Arcanine being on choice band which has, at times, felt troll but quite satisfying as well for me so I would love any advice on that. Here is the detailed team :

Arcanine-Hisui @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Head Smash
- Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp

Arcanine is the core breaker of this team ! The moves are fairly standard with extreme speed to fullfill the team's priority need, Head Smash for a very powerful nuke stab (when it doesn't miss), Flare blitz to complete it's pretty good double stab that won't be resisted by much in the tier aside from Garchomp and Kommo-o. Jolly nature with max speed max attack makes Arcanine a fairly speedy and powerful breaker with the choice band ! I put Will-O-Wisp last slot mainly to have a tool against a late Kingambit that came in handy once or twice for me but any suggestion for last slot instead will be appreciated. Lastly, Tera Normal for a stronger extreme speed and a Ceruledge shadow sneak immunity !

slowking-galar.gif

Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Chilly Reception
- Sludge Bomb
- Future Sight
- Thunder Wave

Once again fairly standard specially defensive Slowking here for a great switch in to most special threats and slow pivot to bring Arcanine in safely ! 0 IV speed as well as Sassy nature for that exact purpose and Thunder Wave to slow down some faster threats for our Arcanine who might not be the slowest but certainly not the fastest either. Slowking felt great as well to remove the rain for when it is encountered and absorb toxic spikes.

corviknight.gif

Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Defog
- U-turn
- Roost

Our physical reception for this team ! Standard defensive pivot set again that fills a good amount of roles on this team being the only real physically defensive invested member as well as a good contact move punisher with the rocky helmet. I ran defog to have another hazard remover alongside Great Tusk who we will talk about later but also to serve as a useful screen remover. U-turn as well for the fairly slow pivoting to help our Arcanine come in.

primarina.gif

Primarina @ Assault Vest
Ability: Torrent
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Psychic Noise
- Surf
- Flip Turn

Primarina is one of my favorite Pokemon so I really wanted to have her in this team. The AV set has felt great, being a very good check to Walking Wake, Darkrai, Iron Valiant and still hitting hard. Psychic Noise is great for the stall matchup and flip turn continuing our pivoting that feels good in this team as well as doing some fair chip to the Slowking switch in. Tera Poison to cover the initial weaknesses as well as avoid being poisoned which doesn't feel great at all on this set. Kept Torrent instead of liquid voice for Water absorb clodsires as well as doing some nice damage to Iron Moth and Zamazenta.

meowscarada.gif

Meowscarada @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Protean
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Triple Axel
- Flower Trick

Scarf Meowscarada here that serves as our very speedy member, great for revenge killing what Arcanine can't and a great threats for opposing Dragapults or Deoxys-S that otherwise haven't felt great to play against. A hard hitting item removal as well as a great offensive pivot to contrast with our mainly defensive ones. Great for dealing with setup Dragonites with Tera Ghost if needed, as well as providing some anti spin.

great-tusk.gif

Great Tusk @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock

And lastly, a pretty offensive Great Tusk that will often be lead, providing hazards, hazards removal and a strong stab combination that was missing from the team until now. I ended up going for Close Combat instead of Ice Spinner because I felt Meowscarada was great at dealing with Lando-T, Dragonites, Gliscor and CC has felt great at dealing with Ting-Lu's and Hisuian Samurott leads.

Conclusion :
That ends my first RMT for my first attempt at team building. There is no doubts that this team could see many improvements since I am still a beginner when it comes to this exercise, but that's why I'm coming here to ask for more experienced opinions ! It has been a lot of fun and I truly thank from the bottom of my heart anyone that would be willing to give any advices on my journey to becoming better at the game. Thank you for reading and I wish you a great day or night ! :tyke:

Team looks decently solid! A few ideas, though:
Arcanine: I'd go CC (Close Combat) over Wisp. You're most likely going to want to run four moves because of the Band. (edit: Four attacks, sorry, forgot to clarify.) Wild Charge or Stone Edge could work, too, though, so you may want to experiment to see what fits your needs best.
Glowking: Set looks fine, sometimes you may want to debate Psyshock (if it fits), which gives a slightly better matchup against stall, namely Blissey and Clod. Future Sight does seem to work for the set, though.
Corv: I'd run a set of Roost, U-Turn, Body Press, and Iron Defense. Body Press and Brave Bird may work as well, though. I don't think you need Defog on Corv because you already have removal thanks to Tusk. Also, the 8 EVs in Special Defense might be better in Attack instead. I get the idea to stop screens, but if you plan to keep Defog on this, you should probably run something other than Rapid Spin on Tusk.
Primarina: Set looks fine. Another option is Draining Kiss for longevity, but tbh the set looks pretty good as is.
Meowscarada: Nothing much to say, looks good.
Tusk: So, if you have Defog on Corv, you probably want to not have Rapid Spin on this. Other options include Knock Off and Ice Spinner. I'd encourage experimenting to see what fits well.
Otherwise, team looks pretty good! I might have missed something, though! Hope this helps :)
