Blastoise [Singles] (QC 2/2) (GP 2/2)

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Blastoise's ability to check and counter some of the top threats make it a great anti-meta Pokemon. Mega Launcher boosts Mega Blastoise's aura and pulse moves by 50%, making it an effective wallbreaker. Furthermore, it has access to a lot of coverage moves, such as Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Ice Beam, and excellent bulk that allows it to tank powerful attacks. Mega Blastoise is also very versatile, functioning as a lead as well as a late-game sweeper. However, Mega Blastoise has a subpar Speed stat and requires some form of speed control from Pokemon such as Thundurus and Cresselia. It is also weak to common Electric-types such as Thundurus and Rotom-W and as it has no form of recovery, it is worn down easily by status conditions.

Moves
========
Aura Sphere is a must on Mega Blastoise to check Dark-, Normal-, and Steel-types such as Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Mega Kangaskhan, and Mega Lucario. Water Pulse has an effective Base Power of 90 thanks to the boost from Mega Launcher, allowing Mega Blastoise to check Talonflame, Blaziken, and Mamoswine. Ice Beam OHKOes some of the most important threats in the metagame such as Garchomp, Mega Salamence, and Landorus-T. It can also be used as a way to hit Thundurus on a predicted switch. The last moveslot is based on personal preference. Dark Pulse provides Mega Blastoise with additional coverage and allows it to hit top threats such as Gengar and Aegislash for super effective damage. Aqua Jet is very useful against common Focus Sash users such as Gengar, Mamoswine, Blaziken, and Greninja.

Set Details
========
Blastoisinite is essential for enough wallbreaking power. Blastoise should always Mega Evolve on the first turn so it can gain Mega Launcher. 252 EVs in HP make Mega Blastoise as bulky as possible and allow it to survive powerful attacks such as an Outrage from Choice Band Garchomp, Double-Edge from Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Salamence, Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Hydreigon, and Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. However, do note that a combination of Fake Out and Double-Edge from Mega Kangaskhan has a chance to KO Mega Blastoise. 252 EVs in Special Attack and a Modest nature ensure Mega Blastoise hits as hard as possible. If Aqua Jet is opted for, a Quiet nature with an alternative EV spread of 244 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD can be used.

Usage Tips
========
The best option is to always Mega Evolve Blastoise immediately so it can deal as much as damage as possible. Mega Blastoise's great coverage can be exploited by hitting opposing Pokemon for super effective damage on predicted switches early in the game. For example, lead Mamoswine and Mega Salamence are often used together. Usually on the first turn, most opponents switch to Salamence fearing a Water Pulse. You can use this to your advantage and use Ice Beam on the predicted switch. Now your opponent loses their Salamence and you take control of the game. Later in the game, Mega Blastoise can be used to clean through the opposing team after your opponent's Pokemon have been crippled by status or are at low health. Hence, Mega Blastoise is very versatile, functioning both as a lead and as a late-game sweeper. Mega Blastoise is also great at taking out common physical walls such as Hippowdon, Cresselia, and Porygon2; it OHKOes the former and 2HKOes the latter two. Mega Blastoise struggles with stall Pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Chansey, and Suicune and must never be left on the field when facing those. Due to lack of reliable recovery, Mega Blastoise should only be switched in after its teammate has fainted, as it won't have to risk taking any damage.

Team Options
========
Mega Blastoise enjoys the help of Pokemon that provide it with speed control such as Cresselia, Thundurus, and Zapdos. Cresselia has access to Trick Room and Lunar Dance, which help Mega Blastoise sweep and recover from previous damage. Thundurus has access to Prankster Thunder Wave and can switch into common Grass-types such as Serperior and Ferrothorn. Defensive Zapdos can wear down opposing Pokemon with Discharge and Toxic. Zapdos also helps eliminate Ferrothorn reliably with Heat Wave. Ferrothorn itself is another great teammate, as it resists Electric- and Grass-type attacks and can cripple opposing teams with Stealth Rock and Leech Seed, making Mega Blastoise's job much easier. It is also a great check to Azumarill, which stops Mega Blastoise right in its tracks.

Garchomp is a notable partner as well, since it's immune to Electric-type moves and helps deal with Pokemon that can cause Mega Blastoise problems such as Mega Mawile and Weakness Policy Aegislash. Garchomp enjoys Mega Blastoise's help too, since it can take care of physical walls such as Hippowdon and Cresselia and other common threats to Garchomp such as Mamoswine and Hydreigon. Talonflame and Heatran make good partners for Mega Blastoise, as they can help get rid of Serperior and Mega Venusaur. Additionally, Heatran can switch into Fairy-types such as Mega Mawile and Sylveon for Mega Blastoise. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Landorus-T. Another notable teammate is Volcarona; common Rock-type move users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Hippowdon, and Tyranitar are all easily taken care of by Mega Blastoise, giving Volcarona an easier time setting up Quiver Dance, while Mega Blastoise also eliminates Talonflame. Whimsicott and Sylveon can be used to switch into resisted Dark- and Fighting-type attacks. Also, they help Mega Blastoise avoid any damage from Dragon-type attacks. Sylveon can additionally deal with Mega Sableye, which is a huge problem for Mega Blastoise. Finally, Grass-types such as Breloom and Serperior can help Mega Blastoise against Suicune and Rotom-W. In return, Mega Blastoise deals with Fire-types such as Talonflame and Blaziken for the two.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Dragon Pulse OHKOes Mega Charizard X and has a chance to OHKO Latios as well. However, Ice Beam hits the more commonly used Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Mega Salamence for more damage; therefore, it is the better option. Water Spout has an insane Base Power of 150 when used at full HP, but due to Mega Blastoise's subpar Speed, it can never count on maintaining that Base Power throughout the game. Hydro Pump can be used over Water Pulse, but its low accuracy can be detrimental in the long run. Scald's burn chance can come in handy, but Mega Blastoise is at its best when it is dealing as much damage as possible, not fishing for burns. Yawn usually gives Mega Blastoise a free turn, but it's highly situational and forces Mega Blastoise to sacrifice useful coverage moves. Mirror Coat allows Mega Blastoise to return double the damage it takes, but due to its low HP stat, it isn't recommended.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Chansey**: Chansey walls any attack from Mega Blastoise and can wear it down using a combination of Toxic, Soft-Boiled, and Seismic Toss. It can also safely switch into any move without worry because at best Aura Sphere barely 4HKOes it.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Specially bulky Pokemon such as Sylveon and Goodra stop Mega Blastoise right in its tracks. Mega Blastoise at best can 3HKO Sylveon, while Choice Specs Sylveon can 2HKO it with a Hyper Voice. Assault Vest Goodra tanks all hits Mega Blastoise throws in its direction and can also 2HKO Mega Blastoise with a combination of Thunderbolt and Draco Meteor.

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune can set up on Blastoise using Calm Mind because at best Dark Pulse and Aura Sphere are a 3HKO. Additionally, it can restore its health with Rest. Suicune can also status Mega Blastoise using Toxic. Azumarill can switch into any attack Mega Blastoise uses and set up on it using Belly Drum. Assault Vest Azumarill is an even bigger problem, as it completely walls Mega Blastoise and has a chance to 2HKO Mega Blastoise with Play Rough.

**Grass-types**: Mega Venusaur can switch into any move Mega Blastoise uses and can beat it with a combination of Leech Seed and Giga Drain. Serperior can safely fire off Leaf Storms against Mega Blastoise and boost its Special Attack in the process. Breloom can outspeed Mega Blastoise, put it to sleep, and finish it off with Bullet Seed. However, these two must be wary of Ice Beam.

**Electric-types**: Life Orb Thundurus and Choice Specs Rotom-W can OHKO Mega Blastoise with a super effective Thunderbolt or can cripple it with Thunder Wave. Sitrus Berry Rotom-W can tank any hit Mega Blastoise uses and can finish it off using two Thunderbolts. All variations of Raikou have a good time against Mega Blastoise. The Assault Vest variant can 2HKO with Thunderbolt, the Choice Specs variant OHKOes with Thunderbolt, and the Leftovers variant can safely set up with Calm Mind.

**Mega Heracross**: Mega Heracross can survive any attack Mega Blastoise uses and has a chance to OHKO it with Bullet Seed.

**Greninja**: Life Orb Greninja often carries Grass Knot, which has a chance to OHKO Mega Blastoise thanks to Protean.

[OVERVIEW]

+Is a great anti-meta pokemon (I don't know what that means tbh. Elaborate maybe?)
+Has a very useful ability upon mega evolving: Mega launcher which boost pulse and aura moves by 1.5 (I would mention that due to gaining Mega Launcher, it makes Mega Blastoise be a good wallbreaker).
+Has access to moves that provide a lot of coverage (Such as what?)
+Has excellent bulk and special attack (How does this help Blastoise? I would mention some Pokemon that allows it to check because of that.)
+Has the element of surprise since it's not common (Hmm?)
-Requires some form of speed control from teammates (Blastoise Speed kind of sits at an odd tier for me. I'd mention the reason that it needs Speed control from its teammates is because of how average its base Speed is. I'd mention some Pokemon. Whimsicott, Klefki, and Thundurus can be a good example.)
-Weak to top threats such as thundurus, rotom-w and suicune
-Status moves such as burn and poison wear it down easily (Due to it having a lack of reliable recovery.)

  • Aura sphere is used to check threats such as the queen of this format kangaskhan, hydreigon, ttar and lucario ("Used to check Dark-, Normal-, and Steel-types such as Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Mega Kangaskhan, and Mega Lucario.")
  • The second move is a standard move on blastoise which has a base power of 135 thanks to STAB and Mega launcher. (You can remove "The second move" and say Water Pulse instead and describe what Pokemon it helps get rid of. Mega Blaziken and Talonflame are good examples.)
  • Ice beam allows it to check and OHKO some of the important threats in the metagame such as garchomp, salamence, and landorus-t. It can also be used as a way to hit predicted thundurus switch ins
  • The last moveslot is based on personal preference
  • Dark pulse provides blastoise with additional coverage and allows it to hit top threats such as gengar and aegislash for super effective damage.
  • Aqua jet is STAB move with priority which is very useful against common sash users such as gengar, mamoswine, blaziken, and greninja.
(I'd just say the kinds of types that it hits but that's just me. I guess either is fine.)

Set Details
========

  • 252 EVs investment in HP make blastoise as bulky as possible and allow it to survive powerful attacks such as a banded outrage from garchomp, DE from mega kangaskhan and mega salamence (No abbreviations so just put it as "Double Edge." and put it as "Choice Band Outrage Garchomp.)
  • 252 EVs investment in special attack and a modest nature ensure blastoise has maximum fire power and hits as hard as possible
  • If aqua jet is opted, a quiet nature with an alternative EV spread 244 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 Spd is recommended.
(Don't forget, mention "Blastoisinite" and why it's needed to be used on Blastoise and mention the ability that's be used and why is Torrent being used over Rain Dish. Additionally, I'd expand a little bit more on Quiet nature. I never played with Blastoise but wouldn't Quiet nature with its subpar Speed and Trick Room go together?)
Usage Tips
========

  • Blastoise is very versatile and can be used early-on as well as later in the game. (How does using Blastoise help you early-game? Clarify a little on that.)
  • As mentioned earlier, blastoise has moves that provide a lot of coverage. This trait can be exploited by hitting opposing pokemon for SE damage on predicted switch ins early in the game.
  • Later in the game it is used to sweep the opposing team since your opponents pokemon are crippled by statuses or are at low health.
  • Blastoise is great for taking out common physical walls such as hippowdon, cresselia and porygon2 as it OHKOs the former pokemon and 2HKO's the latter two.
  • Blastoise struggles with pokemon who stall such as mega-sableye, chansey and suicune. This is why it must never be left on the field against these threats.
(Add: Because of the lack of reliable recovery, it's always best for Mega Blastoise to switch in after its teammate has fainted, as it won't have to risk taking any damage.)

Team Options
========

  • Blastoise enjoys pokemon which provide it speed control such as cresselia, thundurus and zapdos.
  • Cresselia has access to trick room and lunar dance which help blastoise sweep. Thundurus has access to prankster t-wave and can switch into common grass types such as serperior and ferrothorn. Defensive zapdos can wear down opposing pokemon with discharge and toxic which blastoise greatly appreciates.
  • Ferrothorn is a great teammate as it resists electric and grass, can cripple opposing teams with stealth rock and leech seed making blastoise's job much easier. It is also a great counter to azumarill and mega venusaur which give blastoise problems
  • Garchomp is a notable partner as well since it's immune to electric moves and helps deal with pokemon which can cause blastoise problems such as mega mawile and weakness policy aegislash. Garchomp also enjoys blastoise's help since blastoise can take care of physical walls such as hippo and cress. Blastoise also deals with common threats to garchomp such as mamoswine and hydreigon.
  • (I'd mention Talonflame, Heatran, and Blaziken and how they can help get rid of Serperior and Mega Venusaur for Blastoise. (Didn't mention Breloom because it's kind of situational with Talonflame and Heatran. Heatran can switch into Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Mega Mawile. In return Mega Blastoise can deal with Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Landorus-T for Blaziken and Heatran.)
  • (Add that Whimsicott and Sylveon can be used as a great partner to switch into resisted Dark-, and Fighting-type attacks. Also it helps Blastoise avoid any damage from Dragon-type attacks. With Sylveon, you mentioned that it has trouble against Mega Sableye. Surely the lovely ribbons can help you with that! Whimsicott can provide Speed control with Stun Spore as well.)
  • (Add here that Grass-types such as Breloom and Serperior can help Blastoise against Suicune and Rotom-W. In return, Blastoise can help against Fire-types for the two.)
  • (Clefable would be a nice partner (the above mentions) and its ability Unaware helps with setup Pokemon such as Suicune.)

  • Water Spout: Water spout has an insane power of 225 at full HP but due to blastoise's subpar speed it can never take advantage of it.
  • Mirror Coat: Mirror coat allows blastoise to return double the damage it experiences but due to its low HP stat, it isn't recommended.
  • Hydro Pump: Hydro pump can be used over water pulse but its low accuracy can be detrimental in the long run.
  • Yawn: Yawn usually gives blastoise a free turn but it's highly situational and makes blastoise sacrifice useful coverage moves.
(Mention Dragon Pulse here as well. But state the reason why Ice Beam is preferred over it because it actually has some usage.)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**:
Life Orb thundurus can OHKO blastoise with a super effective thunderbolt and can cripple it with thunder wave. Rotom-wash can tank any hit blastoise uses and can finish it off using two thunderbolts.

**Grass-types**: Mega venusaur can switch into any move blastoise throws at it and can beat it with a combination of leech seed and giga drain. Serperior can safely fire off leaf storms against blastoise and boost its special attack. Breloom can outspeed blastoise, put it to sleep, and finish it off with bullet seed. However these two must be wary of ice beam. (Note: Maybe add somewhere that Serperior outspeeds Mega Blastoise and is only 2HKOed by Ice Beam at full health.)

**Stall**: Chansey walls any attack from blastoise and can wear it down using a combination of toxic, soft boiled and seismic toss. Mega sableye can tank any move blastoise uses and set up using calm mind and recover. Suicune can do the same using calm mind and rest.
(Add: Mega Sableye can also burn Mega Blastoise with Will-O-Wisp, crippling its longevity.)

(You could open up a new part in how status just hinders Mega Blastoise.)
Still looking through more but excellent job anirav!

EDIT: Because this is "Mega" Blastoise we're talking about its Mega Evolution so make sure everything is "Mega Blastoise."

Okay I added pretty much everything. Some of the things I haven't added are:-

1) Elaborating on the meaning of anti-meta: It's a common term used in competitive gaming even outside of pokemon. Basically, a game's meta is what's the popular method or strategy or in this case pokemon. Anti-meta is something that is specifically designed to counter the meta's strategy.

2) I don't think there is any point adding clefable as a teammate since it isn't even in the top 20 teammates of blastoise.

3) Dragon pulse in other option:- I was going to add dragon pulse but I literally see zero reason to use it. Ice beam already hits the notable dragons for more damage such as salamence and garchomp. The other important dragon hydreigon takes the same amount of damage from dragon pulse as aura sphere. Additionaly aura sphere never misses so it's much better.

EDIT: I'll also fix all the grammar and punctuation when I write it in paragraph form.

I disagree with Toxic/Burn(?) stall being its own thing in C&C. I mean, technically any pokemon with no recovery is scared of getting all that residual damage but its not something that needs to be in C&C imo. Especially with Blastoise, it hits so hard that it can usually do what it needs to in just a few turns, so I don't think Toxic on it is really that crucial. And with two of the mons mentioned there, Gliscor and Aegi, they can't actually just go for Toxic on it whenever they want.

Yeah sorry I mean to put the last one as status instead of stall. But NOVED brings up a good point. Should I just merge Status and Stall into one category or should I just drop status altogether?

EDIT: I merged it for now since Misaka Mikoto told me to. If anyone feels I shouldn't, just explain why.

move 2: Water Pulse
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Dark Pulse / Aqua Jet
item: Blastoisinite
ability: Rain Dish
nature: Modest / Quiet
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA

If I was personally writing this, I would not slash Quiet on the set since it is an unnecessary hinder to Blastoise's already below average Speed. Reasoning: Most of the targets you mentioned for Aqua Jet (Gengar, Mamoswine and Blaziken) are KOed guaranteed to be 2HKOed no matter if it was Modest or Quiet nature. While we are on the subject of Aqua Jet here, you can mention that Mega Blastoise can come in on Volcarona on a Quiver Dance, live anything, and proceed to 2HKO with the Water Pulse + Aqua Jet combo (again, Quiet is not needed).

Set Details
========

-252 EVs investment in HP make mega blastoise as bulky as possible and allow it to survive powerful attacks such as an outrage from choice banded garchomp, Double edge from mega kangaskhan and mega salamence
Do note that a combination of Fake Out + Double Edge still has a chance to KO Mega Blastoise on a high roll while Aura Sphere only has a 12.5% chance to OHKO back.

Usage Tips
========

-This trait can be exploited by hitting opposing pokemon for SE damage on predicted switch ins early in the game.
Would be nice to provide an example or two (which can be very helpful to the newer players).

Team Options
========

-Defensive zapdos can wear down opposing pokemon with discharge and toxic which mega blastoise greatly appreciates.
Zapdos also helps eliminate Ferrothorn reliably with Heat Wave (can Roost off damage, while Mega Blastoise fails to OHKO with Aura Sphere, taking a huge chunk from Power Whip or get para'ed from Thunder Wave).
-It is also a great counter to azumarill and mega venusaur which give mega blastoise problems
Not sure how exactly Ferrothorn is a "counter" to Mega Venusaur since HP Fire = RIP Ferrothorn while nothing can hit Mega Venusaur back, unless you are running a Banded Explosion set or something lol.
-Garchomp is a notable partner as well since it's immune to electric moves and helps deal with pokemon which can cause mega blastoise problems such as mega mawile and weakness policy aegislash.
Note that cant say has mentioned in my Cloyster analysis, Garchomp does not have a solid match up against Mega Mawile. And being immune to electric moves only means Garchomp is gonna get hit with a sweet HP Ice... Also note setting up Stealth Rock for Mega Blastoise guarantees the OHKO on Mega Kangaskhan and maybe a few other key OHKOs too (cannot think of any at the moment).
Add Volcarona under Fire-type teammates, as it is one of the best partners for Mega Blastoise (7th on PGL). Common Rock-type move users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Hippowdon and Tyranitar are all easily taken care of by Mega Blastoise, allowing Volcarona an easier time setting up QD, while Mega Blastoise also eliminates Talonflame.

Dragon Pulse deserves more credit here as it OHKOs Mega Charizard X, something which no other moves from Blastoise does. If you are not going to slash it on the main set, at least mention this here in Other Options. (Since you have something unusual like Yawn, but no Dragon Pulse lol.)

Might worth adding Greninja under Grass-types (as Grass Knot has an alarming 36.2% usage):
252 SpA Life Orb Protean Greninja Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Blastoise: 172-203 (92.4 - 109.1%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
Other things missing from Check and Counters: Fairy-types (Azumarill, Sylveon), Water-types (Rotom-W, Suicune, Gastrodon).

Okay I've added everything bobo except another section for water types. This is because the water types you mentioned already fit in the other categories:- rotom-w (electric types), suicune(stall and status), and gastrodon(not relevant enough). Otherwise thanks so much for the quick QC! Really appreciate it. I'll start writing it in paragraph form in a while.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Blastoise breaks through the doors of Battle Spot using its massive cannons. It's ability to check and counter some of the top threats make it a great anti-meta Pokemon. Upon mega evolving, Blastoise gains a useful ability, Mega Launcher, which boosts Aura and Pulse moves by 1.5 making Mega Blastoise a effective wall breaker. Furthermore, it has access to moves that provide a lot of coverage such as Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Ice Beam. It also has excellent bulk which allows it to tank powerful attacks. However, Mega Blastoise has a subpar base speed stat and requires some form of speed control from Pokemon such as Thundurus and Cresselia. It is also quite weak to common Electric-Types such as Thundurus and Rotom-Wash. Additionally, status conditions such as burn and poison wear it down easily due to having a lack of reliable recovery. Instead of specifically saying status I would probably say something along the lines of it being easy to wear down That being said, Mega Blastoise is a terrifying Pokemon which has the ability to dismantle teams if used correctly.

Blastoisinite is the entire point of Blastoise so holding it is essential. Rain Dish is highly situational but it helps Mega Blastoise recover HP against Rain teams Mention that the main reason for Rain Dish is that Torrent is completely useless. Otherwise, Blastoise should always mega evolve on the first turn so it can gain the ability mega launcher Even if there is rain mega evolving is still preferable because of the large damage boost. Maybe just remove this since it's in usage tips anyway 252 EVs investment in HP make Mega Blastoise as bulky as possible and allow it to survive powerful attacks such as an Outrage from Choice Banded Garchomp and a Double Edge from Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Salamence. The best option always is to mega evolve Blastoise immediately so it can deal as much as damage as possible. As mentioned earlier, Mega Blastoise has moves that provide a lot of coverage. This trait can be exploited by hitting opposing Pokemon for super effective damage on predicted switch ins early in the game. For example, lead Mamoswine and Mega Salamence are often used as teammates replace with together because "as teammates" kind of sounds like you mean for Mega Blastoise. Usually on the first turn, most opponents switch to Salamence fearing a Water Pulse. You can use this to your advantage and use Ice Beam on the predicted switch. Now your opponent loses their Salamence and you take control of the game. Later in the game it is used to sweep the opposing team since your opponent's pokemon are crippled by statuses or are at low health. Hence, Mega Blastoise is very versatile, functioning as a lead as well as a sweeper later in the game. Mega Blastoise is also great at taking out common physical walls such as Hippowdon, Cresselia and Porygon2 as it OHKOs the former and 2HKO's the latter two. Mega Blastoise struggles with Pokemon who stall such as Mega Sableye, Chansey and Suicune. This is why it must never be left on the field while facing such stall. Due to lack of reliable recovery, Mega Blastoise should only be switched in after its teammate has fainted, as it won't have to risk taking any damage.

Garchomp can also set up Stealth Rocks which Mega Blastoise greatly appreciates. Garchomp enjoys Mega Blastoise's help too since it can take care of physical walls such as Hippowdon and Cresselia. Mega Blastoise also deals with common threats to Garchomp such as Mamoswine and Hydreigon. Talonflame and Heatran make good partners for Mega Blastoise since they can help get rid of Serperior and Mega Venusaur. Additionally, Heatran can switch into fairy types such as Mega Mawile and Sylveon for Mega Blastoise. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Landorus Therian. Another notable teammate is Volcarona. Scald has a 30 percent burn chance which can come in handy but Mega Blastoise is at its best when it is dealing as much damage as possible, not fishing for burns. I would probably group the alternative Water stabs together

Checks and Counters
===================

**Electric-types**:
Life Orb Thundurus and Choice Specs Rotom-W can OHKO Mega Blastoise with a super effective Thunderbolt and can cripple it with Thunder Wave. Rotom-Wash can tank any hit Mega Blastoise uses and can finish it off using two thunderbolts.

**Grass-types**: Mega Venusaur can switch into any move Mega Blastoise throws at it and can beat it with a combination of Leech Seed and Giga Drain. Serperior can safely fire off Leaf Storms against Mega Blastoise and boost its special attack. Breloom can outspeed mega blastoise, put it to sleep, and finish it off with Bullet Seed. However these two must be wary of ice beam. Life orb Greninja, however not a Grass-type, often carries grass knot which has a chance to OHKO Mega Blastoise due to protean.

**Fairy Types**: Fairy types such as Mega Mawile, Azumarill, and Sylveon can be problematic for Mega Blastoise. Mega Mawile lives any attack Mega Blastoise throws at it and can beat it with a combination of Play Rough and Sucker Punch. Azumarill resists all of Mega Blastoise's moves and can proceed to set up Belly Drum on it. Mega Blastoise at best can only 3HKO sylveon due to it's high special defense stat while Choice Specs Sylveon can 2HKO it with hyper voice.

**Stall and Status Conditions**: Chansey walls any attack from Mega Blastoise and can wear it down using a combination of Toxic, Soft Boiled and Seismic Toss. Mega Sableye can tank any move Mega Blastoise uses and set up using Calm mind and Recover. Additionaly, it can also burn it using Will-O-Wisp. Status conditions such as Poison and Burn are detrimental for Mega Blastoise in the long run since it has no form of reliable recovery. That is why it must beware against common status inducing pokemon such as Gliscor, Suicune, and Aegislash.

Mention Suicune and maybe regular Gyarados somewhere
Will look back over after these are implemented

Okay I've added everything except the "it being easy to wear down" part because I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you explain further?

Okay I've added everything except the "it being easy to wear down" part because I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you explain further?
Since it doesn't have recovery attacks can wear it down to put it in ko range for other things. Basically what you said later about not wanting to switch into attacks and take unnecessary damage.

reserving a check because I noticed a lot of stuff (like zero mention of Chansey / Goodra / Suicune in C&Cs), just don't want this going to 2/2 and/or GP just yet.

edit: They need their own mention imo. Like Chansey can come in and hard-counter Blastoise, so I don't think it's enough to just have it under an umbrella statement with a bunch of other things.

I did mention chansey and suicune in C&C. They're under stall and staus.

EDIT: They're even mentioned in usage tips where it says "Mega Blastoise struggles with Pokemon who stall such as Mega Sableye, Chansey and Suicune. This is why it must never be left on the field"

Okay will do but I'm a bit confused how to format it. If I add a seperate point for chansey and suicune then what should be there in status and stall? Or should I jusr drop stall and status altogether(If I do that then where do I put aegislash, sableye, and gliscor)?

You would drop status and stall. Like i said earlier i don't like status in there anyway since it doesn't make sense. aegi and gliscor are not blatoise checks.
Chansey and suicune can get their own things.
sableye could get its own thing too i guess, would like to hear other QC guy's opinions on that though.

[OVERVIEW] [unbold these headings please]

Mega Blastoise breaks through the doors of Battle Spot using its massive cannons [I don't understand what this means, or what it is trying to say. "breaks through the doors of Battle Spot" implies that it stands out, which is fine, but "massive cannons" isn't a reference to its competitive use, so I'm not sure whether or not it should be included]. It's Its ability to check and counter some of the top threats make it a great anti-meta Pokemon. Upon Mega Evolving, Blastoise gains a useful ability, Mega Launcher, which boosts its [it doesn't have access to every single Aura + Pluse move, afaik] Aura and Pulse moves by 1.5 [it boosts it by 50% which is actually 0.5 - however, saying this seems quite redundant, as the reader can check the SmogDex if they want to know what Mega Launcher does], [ac] making Mega Blastoise an effective wall[remove space]breaker. Furthermore, it has access to moves that provide a lot of coverage such as Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, and Ice Beam. It also has and [I feel that these two sentences should be linked because they both talk about what Blastoise has] excellent bulk which allows it to tank powerful attacks. However, Mega Blastoise has a subpar Base Speed stat and requires some form of speed control from Pokemon such as Thundurus and Cresselia. It is also quite weak to common Electric-types such as Thundurus and Rotom-Wash and as it has no form of recovery, it is worn down easily by attacks and status conditions. Blastoise can be worn down easily by attacks and status conditions as it has no form of recovery. That being said Despite its flaws, Mega Blastoise is undoubtedly a terrifying Pokemon which has the ability to dismantle teams if used correctly. [Allow me to elaborate on why I changed this sentences. In the sentence prior to this one, you were naming its flaws, and then you said "That being said", so this implies that it's a terrifying Pokemon because of those flaws. To make this sentence easier to understand, you could've named one good thing about Blastoise, and then proceed onto this sentence. Therefore, I changed the opening phrase to "despite its flaws", because after it, you are saying that it is still a threatening Pokemon. "Undoubtedly" just replaces "still", I suppose. You can keep this change, or the old one, but personally, I feel that this last sentence rounds off the overview pretty well]

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Aura Sphere is a must on Mega Blastoise allowing it to check Dark-, Normal-, and Steel-types such as Hydreigon, Tyranitar, Mega Kangaskhan, and Mega Lucario. Water Pulse is a standard move on Mega Blastoise which has a Base Power of 135 thanks to STAB and the ability Mega Launcher, [ac] allowing it to check Talonflame, Blaziken and Mamoswine [If you put the comma after "Mega Launcher", this means that all things mentioned before it allow it to check Talonflame and the rest. If you don't put the comma after it, it means that Mega Launcher only allows it to check Talonflame and the rest, which, I'm assuming, is not what you were thinking]. Ice Beam allows it to check and OHKO some of the important threats in the metagame such as Garchomp, Mega Salamence, and Landorus-Therian [ah]. It can also be used as a way to hit predicted Thundurus switch-ins. The last moveslot is based on personal preference. Dark Pulse provides Mega Blastoise with additional coverage and allows it to hit top threats such as Gengar and Aegislash for super effective damage. Aqua Jet is a STAB move with priority which is very useful against common Focus Sash users such as Gengar, Mamoswine, Blaziken, [ac] and Greninja.

Set Details
========

[remove space]
Blastoisinite is the entire point of Blastoise this set [Blastoisinite is not 100% mandatory on Blastoise] so holding it is essential. Blastoise should always Mega Evolve on the first turn so it can gain the ability Mega Launcher. 252 EVs investment in HP make Mega Blastoise as bulky as possible and allow it to survive powerful attacks such as an Outrage from Choice Banded Garchomp, Double Edge from Mega Kangaskhan and Mega Salamence, Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Hydreigon, and Solar Beam from Mega Charizard Y. However [not sure if there should be comma here; sentence reads fine with and without] do note that a combination of Fake Out and Double Edge from Mega Kangaskhan has a chance to KO Mega Blastoise. 252 EVs investment in Special Attack and a Modest nature ensure Mega Blastoise has maximum fire[remove space]power and hits as hard as possible. If Aqua Jet is opted, a Quiet nature with an alternative EV spread of 244 HP / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 Spd [Is this Special Defense {SpD} or Speed {Spe}?] can be used.
Usage Tips
========

The best option always is to always Mega Evolve Blastoise immediately so it can deal as much as damage as possible. As mentioned earlier, Mega Blastoise has moves that provide a lot of coverage. This trait can be exploited by hitting opposing Pokemon for super effective damage on predicted switch-ins [ah] early in the game. For example, lead Mamoswine [you're using "lead" here as an adjective, if I'm reading it correctly. I'm not so sure on what to do then, as it is something I haven't come across. I suppose you mean Focus Sash Mamoswine, right?] and Mega Salamence are often used together. Usually on the first turn, most opponents switch to Salamence fearing a Water Pulse. You can use this to your advantage and use Ice Beam on the predicted switch. Now your opponent loses their Salamence and you take control of the game. Later in the game, [ac] it is used to sweep the opposing team since your opponent's Pokemon are crippled by statuses or are at low health. Hence, Mega Blastoise is very versatile, functioning as a lead as well as a sweeper later in the game late-game. Mega Blastoise is also great at taking out common physical walls such as Hippowdon, Cresselia, [ac] and Porygon2 as it OHKOes the former and 2HKO's [not too sure 'bout this one. Should it be 2HKOes, 2HKOs, or 2HKO's?] the latter two. Mega Blastoise struggles with Pokemon who which [I'm changing this because you say "which" below, so it's good to keep it consistent] stall such as Mega Sableye, Chansey, [ac] and Suicune. This is why it must never be left on the field while when facing such stall. Due to lack of reliable recovery, Mega Blastoise should only be switched in after its teammate has fainted, as it won't have to risk taking any damage.
Team Options
========

Mega Blastoise enjoys the help of Pokemon which provide it speed control such as Cresselia, Thundurus and Zapdos. Cresselia has access to Trick Room and Lunar Dance which help Mega Blastoise sweep. Thundurus has access to Prankster Thunder Wave and can switch into common Grass-types such as Serperior and Ferrothorn. Defensive Zapdos can wear down opposing Pokemon with Discharge and Toxic which Mega Blastoise greatly appreciates. Zapdos also helps eliminate Ferrothorn reliably with Heat Wave which can be problematic for Mega Blastoise [the positioning of this subordinate clause implies that Zapdos using Heat Wave can be problematic for Blastoise]. Ferrothorn is another great teammate as it resists Electric- and Grass-[remove space]type attacks, and can cripple opposing teams with Stealth Rock and Leech Seed, [ac] making Mega Blastoise's job much easier. It is also a great check to Azumarill which stops Mega Blastoise right in its tracks. Garchomp is a notable partner as well since it's immune to Electric-type [now I may need clarification on this, but a lot of people say ".. Dragon moves" and "... Grass moves" - is the "-type" not necessary?] moves and helps deal with Pokemon which that can cause Mega Blastoise problems such as Mega Mawile and Weakness Policy Aegislash. Talonflame and Heatran make good partners for Mega Blastoise since as [just to save you from repeating "since"] they can help get rid of Serperior and Mega Venusaur. Additionally, Heatran can switch into Fairy-types [ah] such as Mega Mawile and Sylveon for Mega Blastoise. In return, Mega Blastoise can deal with Ground-types such as Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Landorus-Therian [ah]. Another notable teammate is Volcarona.; [add semi-colon] Ccommon Rock-type move users such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, Hippowdon, [ac] and Tyranitar are all easily taken care of by Mega Blastoise, allowing giving Volcarona an easier time setting up Quiver Dance, while Mega Blastoise also eliminates Talonflame. Whimsicott and Sylveon can be used to switch into resisted Dark-, [rc] and Fighting-type attacks. Also, [ac] they help Mega Blastoise avoid any damage from Dragon-type attacks. Sylveon can additionally deal with Mega Sableye which is a huge problem for Mega Blastoise. Finally, [ac] Grass-types such as Breloom and Serperior can help Mega Blastoise out against Suicune and Rotom-Wash. In return, Mega Blastoise deals with Fire-types [ah] such as Talonflame and Blaziken for the two.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Dragon Pulse OHKO's OHKOs Mega Charizard X and has a chance to OHKO Latios as well. However, Ice Beam hits the more commonly used Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Mega Salamence for more damage; [asc] therefore, [ac] it is the better option. Water Spout has an insane Base Power of 225 at full HP but due to Mega Blastoise's subpar Speed, [ac] it can never take advantage of it. Hydro Pump can be used over Water Pulse but its low accuracy can be detrimental in the long run. Scald has a 30 percent burn chance which can come in handy but Mega Blastoise is at its best when it is dealing as much damage as possible, not fishing for burns. Yawn usually gives Mega Blastoise a free turn but it's highly situational and makes Mega Blastoise sacrifice useful coverage moves. Mirror Coat allows Mega Blastoise to return double the damage it experiences but due to its low HP stat, it isn't recommended.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**:
Chansey walls any attack from Mega Blastoise and can wear it down using a combination of Toxic, Soft Boiled, [ac] and Seismic Toss. It can also safely switch into any move without worrying because at best, [ac] Aura Sphere barely 4HKOs it.

**Specially Bulky Pokemon**:
Specially bulky Pokemon such as Sylveon and Goodra stop Mega Blastoise right in its tracks. Mega Blastoise at best can 3HKO Sylveon while Choice Specs Sylveon can 2HKO it with a Hyper Voice. Assault Vest Goodra tanks all hits Mega Blastoise throws in it's direction. Goodra can also 2HKO Mega Blastoise with a combination of Thunderbolt and Draco Meteor.
**Bulky Water types**: Suicune can set up on Blastoise using Calm Mind because at best Dark Pulse / and Aura Sphere is are a 3HKO. Additionally, it can also restore its health again with Rest. Suicune can also poison status Mega Blastoise using Toxic [fun fact: Toxic and Poison are two different statuses!] which wears Blastoise down. Azumarill can switch into any attack Mega Blastoise uses and set up on it using Belly Drum. Assault Vest Azumarill is an even bigger problem as it completely walls Mega Blastoise and has a chance to 2HKO it with Play Rough.

However [again, not too sure 'bout the comma after "however" in this case] these two must be wary of Ice Beam. Life orb Greninja, however not a Grass-type, often carries grass knot which has a chance to OHKO Mega Blastoise due to protean.

**Electric-types**: Life Orb Thundurus and Choice Specs Rotom-Wash can OHKO Mega Blastoise with a super effective Thunderbolt and can cripple it with Thunder Wave. Sitrus Berry Rotom-Wash can tank any hit Mega Blastoise uses and can finish it off using Thunderbolts. All variations of Raikou have a good time [Don't stop me now ('cause I'm having a good time).. Don't stop me now (yes I'm having a good time).. sorry] against Mega Blastoise. The Assault Vest variant can 2HKO with Thunderbolt, the Specs variant OHKOes with Thunderbolt, and the Leftovers variant can safely set up Calm Mind against it.

**Mega Heracross**: Mega Heracross can survive any hit attack Mega Blastoise uses and has a chance to OHKO it with Bullet Seed.

Okay added pretty much everything Sobi . When I said "breaks through the doors of Battle Spot using its massive cannons", I meant it uses those cannons to dominate battle spot. I'll remove it if it doesn't make sense. Another thing, is there any reason why Greninja must be removed? Anyways, thank you for checking this :)!

Well, you pretty much said it yourself, in the analysis, lol. The check was "Grass-types", and Greninja is not a Grass-type, so it can either be removed, or put elsewhere. I understand why you put it there, but if we focus on Greninja without Protean, it's a Water-type.
