PU Coalossal

[OVERVIEW]
:ss/coalossal:
While undoubtedly niche, Coalossal possesses a few attributes to stand out among other Rock-types. Unlike other entry hazard removers such as Charizard and Silvally-Fairy, it can set hazards, and it's sturdier then both. Coalossal's Fire typing gives it an easier time dealing with Bug- and Fairy-types, such as Ribombee and Whimsicott, than other Rock-types. Additionally, Flame Body lets it punish reckless U-turn users like Ninjask and other physical attackers. However, because of its common 4x weaknesses in Water and Ground, Coalossal is incredibly vulnerable to Pokemon like Quagsire, Sandaconda, and Jellicent. Additionally, many of the Pokemon it wishes to check, such as Charizard, Scyther, and Centiskorch, have coverage moves to chunk it or can cripple it with Knock Off for the latter two, or Toxic for Charizard. For these reasons, Coalossal can only fit into teams that require its specific niches, facing heavy competition from the likes of Gigalith, Regirock, and Aggron, which are all less passive than Coalossal and can hold Leftovers due to not needing Heavy-Duty Boots. Furthermore, Aggron's Steel typing lets it better check Psychic-types.

[SET COMMENTS]
Coalossal can opt for Spikes if used with another Stealth Rock setter. Rapid Spin is its claim to fame over other Rock-types. Defensive Jellicent is an ideal partner for Coalossal, as it checks Pokemon such as Poliwrath and Galarian Stunfisk for it. Ferroseed and Druddigon can stack entry hazards with Coalossal and provide extra utility, like both spreading paralysis, Ferroseed bringing Knock Off, and Druddigon checking Ground- and Fighting-types. As Coalossal appreciates checks to Water-, Ground-, and Fighting-types, like Silvally-Water, Palossand, and Gallade, Pokemon such as Whimsicott and Weezing make for good partners. Meanwhile, wallbreakers like Dragon Dance Scrafty and Trevenant appreciate hazard support from Coalossal and have good type synergy with it, as Coalossal checks the Fairy-, Fire-, and Flying-types that check Scrafty and Trevenant, while the latter checks both Water- and Ground-types for Coalossal.

[OVERVIEW]
:ss/coalossal:
While undoubtedly niche, Coalossal possesses a few attributes to make it stand out among other Rock-types. Coalossal's Fire/Rock typing gives it an easier time dealing with Bug- and Fairy-types more easily than other Rock-types, as well as granting it a quad resistance to Fire. (i'd like if you listed specific pokemon that this is useful against, it sort of feels like dex info more than anything else rn.) Access to entry hazards and Rapid Spin also let it compress roles for a team, while Flame Body lets it punish reckless U-turn users and other physical attackers. However, Coalossal is cursed with a 4x weakness to Water and Ground-types, as well as negating Fire's resistance to Grass. (make this more about how these are common typings + throw in two or three examples of pokemon of those types. as for the last part about it not resisting grass, idt it's really necessary.) Additionally, many of the Pokemon it wishes to check, such as Charizard, Archeops, (this should never be your arch check, stone edge does almost 70% min.) and Centiskorch, have (extra space here.) coverage moves to chunk it or can use Knock Off to remove its Heavy-Duty Boots. (zard can also hit you with toxic, which is definitely worth mentioning somewhere here.) For these reasons, Coalossal can only fit into teams that require its specific niches, and thus faces heavy competition from the likes of Gigalith, Regirock, and Aggron, which posses higher offensive prowess, utility in the form of Thunder Wave and Toxic, and the ability to better check Psychic and Fairy-types with Leftovers, respectively.

move 3: Flamethrower / Overheat
move 4: Rapid Spin

overheat's not really worth running here considering that the spatk drop makes you even more passive + it has low PP + you don't necessarily need the extra firepower, and it's not like it helps vs anything in particular anyway.

[SET COMMENTS]
Coalossal can opt for Spikes if used with another Stealth Rock setter. Rapid Spin lets Coalossal remove entry hazards and is its claim to fame over other Rock-types. Overheat can be used to reduce Coalossal's passivity and provide a way to let it apply more offensive pressure to Pokemon such as Eldegoss, but Flamethrower is sufficient in most cases.

Utility Jellicent is an ideal partner for Coalossal, as it forms a defensive core with it and can block Rapid Spin from Hitmontop and Claydol. Pokemon that can set Spikes, such as Qwilfish and Ferroseed, can stack their own hazards with Coalossal and provide extra utility with Thunder Wave and Leech Seed, respectively. Finally, Pokemon such and Audino and Eldegoss can somewhat make up for Coalossal's lack of recovery with Wish and can relieve Coalossal of status, additionally. (the wording here makes it sound like eldegoss can use wish, which it cannot.) (eldegoss feels a weird mention here anyway, you wouldn't pair one niche, role compressing spinner with another.)

While undoubtedly niche, Coalossal possesses a few attributes to make it stand out among other Rock-types. Coalossal's Fire/Rock typing gives it an easier time dealing with Bug- and Fairy-types more easily than other Rock-types, such as Whimsicott and Galvantula. Access to entry hazards and Rapid Spin also let it compress roles for a team, while Flame Body lets it punish reckless U-turn users and other physical attackers. However, Coalossal is cursed with a 4x weakness to the commonplace Water and Ground-types, like Quagsire, Sandaconda, and Jellicent. (reword this to say that its 4x weaknesses to the types leaves it incredibly vulnerable against your examples.) Additionally, many of the Pokemon it wishes to check, such as Charizard, Scyther, and Centiskorch, have coverage moves to chunk it or can use Knock Off to remove its Heavy-Duty Boots, or in the case of Charizard, use Toxic to cripple it. (i'd like if you generalized this last part about why coalossal is worse/less consistent than these other rock-types. they're all the same in that they're much less passive and aren't forced to run boots. the point about twave/toxic utility isn't all that important here imo, and while aggron's typing is worth highlighting, you should do it in its own sentence, i think.)

neither section of set comments is particularly long, so there's no reason to have them split up like they are. saying this here bc i combined the two sections in my check.

def mention teammates that can cover its water and ground weaknesses specifically somewhere in here. you do mention jelli at the beginning, but cursed body is more common on it rn.

Additionally, Aggron's Steel-typing lets it better check Psychic-types.

compare to other removal somewhere, since that's the main reason to use this mon in the first place. if it gets too lengthy can trim the comparison to the other rock types
