Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Nah, ones that have been soaked in special fire-retardant greases and paints. However it will wash off in the water, but that doesn't matter, as that part doesn't burn lol
well that's the problem, the tougher your boat, the slower it will move.
I suggest you just say you have your ship fire-resistant, as Cannons can't really do much to the ship anyway, as once they hit the water, they slow down exponentially...
not Ebony. It is so dense that it lacks those air pockets that lets other kinds of wood float. But the modern ships used Compressed air to add for a lot more Boyancy. There is a lot of different things involved in keeping them afloat, much like Submarines...
Ebony is not Boyant in the slightest. It is extremely dense. However, Steel will only float in sheet form, where it can increase its Boyancy. Not to mention modern-day warships use special hardened lightweight stuff, with air pockets and special mechanisms 1600's didn't have
however, for ebony to float, it would have to be so thin it would crack under the pressure of the water...
...not exactly. The Asian technology was far superior at the time, as you were still stuck using Black Powder, while we had much more refined gunpowders at the time.
Not to mention we had Rockets and Fireworks, as well as the Flamethrower >_>
Plus our Sails could fold much more easily and withstand much more while still being very lightweight lol
mine is 80 feet lol, but yeah, I might increase the crew size
how big is yours supposed to be? I mean - you were a Navy prodigy, while I was the Prince of Japan (well, Hokkaido, but still) so I had more money, yet you had more resources...
