Oh, no no! It's not nearly that simple! 1 poke-step =/= 1 advancement or anything like that. It's just that if you wait the same exact number of steps the NPC WILL advance your frame by the exact same amount every time. I just waited 5 and saw what that got me, then waited 4, then 4.5 and bingo.

Well, on the two Egg IV RNG's I did in my Japanese HG Cart, I did have a heck of a time getting to frame... what was it... 7? Oh, looking down it WAS the exact same seed you used. However, I gave up on the radio after... lemme look...20+ times of hitting my seed and adjusting. I actually opened up radio, didn't detune, closed it, paused for just a moment then picked up my egg and finally got it (after many many many many times of hitting my seed). That was the first time, the second time I skipped the radio completely and just used my following poke's footsteps to "time the one moving NPC's movements" and got it pretty quickly. :)

Odd. Not saying you're wrong at all, but I've never had it give me 2 different advancements on the same seed. What I mean by that, is that it'll still give crazy advancments like, +1, +2, +1, +0, +3, etc, etc, but always in that exact same order on that exact same seed. Just been my experience. :)

Is it, like, a super pain to do frame advancement? If it isn't that bad I'd do like 3000 but I don't want to keep screwing up and have to redo it all over again multiple times =/
