You should first check to see if your primary house wi-fi is operating correctly by performing a connection test on the 3ds, it is in the system settings, under wi-fi. If the connection does not work, delete the current connection, and re-enter it into both devices. If it does'nt work after that call your primary wi-fi provider for support.
