Most good ladder players I encounter are polite, some are just stupid and tend to insult everybody when they know they'll never encounter them for real.
Oh, well some guy was pretty rude with me too and I haxed him a bit so he started insulting me. He quit after I told him insulting strangers over the internet must make him feel good about himself lol. Maybe it wasn't the same guy though, if I recall correctly he wasn't that good, I just made a stupid misplay or 2.

No. All the people I know are the NU community and people in my friends. I have met quite a few people telling me they know me on showdown however. But I tend to forget their names when they just battle and leave.
