Not really. It's not like the other MMORPGs I've played...
And it Toxics them...woohoo? Don't forget the physical Rain sweepers though. Floatzel, Basculin, Armaldo, and Beartic can get past Mantyke unless you invest in Def. Same with Psyshock Golduck. Plus, unlike Gardevoir, Mantyke is really only useful FOR Rain teams; it loses utility against teams that only carry a single Pokemon that gets walled by it (at most). It's not a bad Poke, but its hard to see a reason for it unless you know you will be facing a lot of Rain teams.
I won't give up the power for a base 45 HP Poke :p I'm usually a balanced/offensive player, so MANtine is more useful overall.
