This might be the source of your problem from what you've described so far. You should start the game X seconds before the seconds value you found. In your case, X is one. This means that, for example, if your target time is 6:56:37, you should start the game up at 6:56:36
What is the seconds value you found during calibration?

Probably, Farfetch'd and Chatot start out a little tougher, but Starly evolves better.
Are you able to hit normal seeds correctly at all? Could you elaborate more on the process of you hitting your seed and what you do in game after attempting to hit it?
