I use my own Pokémon, and it takes a while to make them, and one or none of them run exact Smogon sets. Although I may take some basic ideas, I don't follow them completely.

Yeah, and I don't want to corrupt my game. The last time I used PokeGTS on my White game, I really messed it up.

I cannot run Smogon sets.

It's confusing for some because it involves changing the DNS, which they've never altered before. After one or two time of doing it yourself, it's easy.

If I remember correctly, I'm supposed to change the Primary DNS on my DS connection then go to the GTS. I'll grab the Hitmonlee.

Hi Bald Accountant, thanks for the welcome!

The reason I've joined Smogon is (obviously) that I want to get into competitive battling. I've never done it before but I've watched plenty of battles on Youtube and I think I know the basics. But I am completely stuck about getting Perfect Pokemon, as I would prefer to use the DS Wifi on BW2. Does this mean I can't use Pokegen? If I can use Pokegen, how does it work and how would I transfer the generated Pokemon into the game? I've tried to EC train but it takes absolutely ages, and I'm not sure how IV's work either.


I'm really sorry for the wall of text, but if you could help me grasp the basics of how Pokegen works then I'd feel so much more confident giving it a try. I'm not a very technologically gifted person, so I'd really appreciate any advice on linking the DS to the Wifi via the GTS. Thanks so much for offering to help and for making a group for people like me. I really appreciate your offering to lend a hand. It's nice to know that there's someone looking out for the new people!
