Well if speed is a problem with Lampent, a very gimmicky way to fix it would be to replace Calm mind with Flame Charge and Bold/Modest with Timid or Naive

and what speed. From what i see its not going to be outspeeding to much. although hitting a little harder could be beneficial. Either way i like the little bit more bulk the Bold nature provides. I would test it out if i could. But just try it , see how you like it and if it isnt that good change it. all i ask i that you give it a try. Also do you have the Battle log that you used Pikachu in?

No it isnt a problem but its just shows you how much a little more bulk can change a game.

lol i thought it could use the Bulk From Bold nature and 252 Hp and 200 SpA along with 56 SpD gives it defenses that shouldnt be laughed at

and here is an example with bold as a good nature

252 Atk Arbok Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Lampent: 148-176 (45.67 - 54.32%) -- 52.34% chance to 2HKO

see how much of a higher chance it has to survive a 2hko , even switching in if it doesnt get the 2hko Lampent can Pain Split and Procide to kill it

Nature: Bold(adds more bulk since you will have a way to increase Special Defense)

Pain Split / Energy Ball

the main point of the set is to Come in on weak Special Attacker or force a switch, like on a grass type pokemon, and Calm Mind away. The Nature and Ev spread gives it the best bulk it can have, imo, and still allow it to hit hard. Flamethrower is used over FireBlast as you might be their longer and the perfect accuracy, and after a boost or two you wont miss it, but you can trade it for heat wave which is a little stronger but with 90 accuracy. Shadow Ball is his best stab and, if im not mistaken, unresisted in PU with a Fire type move. Pain Split is your strongest form of recovery.

i also thought of two more sets that are worth a small mention.

Resttalk- Could work but then again almost anyone can run a RestTalk set
Choice Scarf- He doesnt necessary have the speed for it but trick can work wonders with Flamethrower, energy ball, and Shadow Ball.

Quick attack is intresting and i even considered it but i thought switching would help it too but if Quick Attack Works better ill give it a try =D. and the lampent set....ill see if i cant come up with something to maybe give it a better shot in Nu

This set needs rapid spin support as it doesnt like losing to much HP. The idea is to revenge kill or to come in on a definite switch to weaken the opponent with fake out, and if possible, bring them into KO range of Thunder Punch. Thunder Punch is its only Physical Eletric type move without recoil so it is the best option. And Brick Break is there to hit Pokemon like Lairon hard. Ony resisted by Grass/Poison Types in PU tier
