My general method with building any group is to let the members have a big hand in things. It gets everyone involved, and it gives a huge indication of who's doing what to contribute.

Well, the Cafe is kind of meant for just all random conversation; there aren't many rules there. The issue at the moment seems to be that members are going off on off topic subjects where they shouldn't be. Having a second cafe won't solve that particular issue.
So, you were talking about branching out the Cafe discussion. Could you elaborate on that, please? I'm doing this here so we don't have to fill up the Battle Cafe discussion with irrelevant conversation. -
