With Pokemon Showdown, you can create your team right on the website and play with hundreds of other users right in your internet browser. Not only is it much quicker than Wi-Fi battling, but it's more community based as well - there's in-battle chat and a competitive ladder, so the more you play the harder your opponents get! To use it, click on the link I provided and click "Play Online" to access the main server. (Note: Pokemon Showdown isn't compatible with certain versions of Internet Explorer, so if you don't have it already now would be a great time to download Google Chrome) Once you're on the server, you can either head over to the Teambuilding tab, or click "Look for a battle" to initiate a battle with two random teams.
