Huh. Wonder how it gets it then... Oh, and has there been any confirmation on whether or not Goodra can get Dragon Dance? Because I was planning on breeding a Goodra with a Dragon Dance Gyarados to see if anything happened.

I just hope I can get to it before someone else does. That being said, I think we have every right to believe that Goodra can learn Dragon Dance. Just about and Dragon in the egg group can, and I doubt this will be an exception. : )

Ok, so judging from the rate I'm going at, and assuming I'm not going to be too busy in the near future, I should be able to verify Goodra getting Dragon Dance by tomorrow. Is that alright?

Well, it doesn't wake the pokemon up. Sleep just doesn't stop them from powering up to mega form. But that could still be potentially useful. Better than not being able to perform the evolution in sleep.

That's great! So if you put let's say Charizard to sleep, MegaEvolving in his sleep could allow him to resist certain moves regular Charizard wouldn't be able to

Actually, that's sort of how I discovered it. I switched Charizard into an Altaria and it used Sing. I tried Mega-evolving and Dragon Claw, and it managed to evolve but was still asleep. Though that sort of worked against me since Altaria had Dragon Pulse...

Update: I just god a Hydro Pump/Dragon Dance Gyarados. Going to breed it now.
