Well, I'm just as clueless as you as to the general form... I was just picking out things that were objectively incorrect or seemed to deviate from the apparent form the rest of the article was in. I'd just pick a format and run with it, something like "this is the standard (example) sentence)." Oh yeah, one other thing that was unstandardised was where the full stops went with regard to the closed bracket...
