About the plural change, my apologies. Pokemon can be both singular and plural and i somehow missed the 'a'.

I went ahead and made the change, but I wonder if you would accept a change to "allowed it to set up with near impunity, even against Pokemon that carried a super effective attack against it." It preserves the past tense but sounds less awkward imo.
