The second reason is Slowking's bad defensive typing. Water is great defensively, but the added Psychic typing ruins it. Weaknesses to U-turn, Knock Off, Pursuit, and Shadow Ball are terrible in this meta. It can't come in safely on many special attackers, such as Aegislash, Gengar, and Greninja, due to its Psychic typing.
