scarf misdreavus isn't very useful most of the time, but on certain teams it can fill a very useful, niche 'glue' role. it can be a catch-all check to set-up sweepers such as scraggy, shell smashers and opposing misdreavus, and it also outspeed all other scarfers (bar dumb stuff like elekid). it also has that surprise factor (tirtouga will never use aqua jet for example).
