Sorry :( I had finals this week and have been studying a fair bit. They're over now :D
Yeah, people like that are ridiculously callous. I imagine there's probably a lot of them in my discipline, tragically (since I study genetics, but there are plenty of good arguments that chromosomes are poor sole determinants of sex and often cast aside anyway.)

(Most people don't even know their karotypes for sure! So you'd hope these people grow out of that stupid mindset).
