Dinosaurs resist Fire because they're cold blooded and like the heat, so Fire seemed logical, and Electric since it can be hot, and partially for competitive purposes. Dinosaur is weak to Poison to give it more reason to be used as coverage, and Ice because of the Ice Age killing the Dinosaurs.
