You really should; they're spectacular. I've only read one of the books, but the others I will read. Just watch the movies; it'll only take 9 hours of your life, and you'll be in amazement for the rest :)

I feel like if my family ever did a nz vacation we'd just do auckland, which I'm guessing is far from Matamata. But eh... someday in my life I will go.
