Soothe bell should speed that up. There's also a lady in Cyllage city just left of the pokemon center who massages the first pokemon in your party and raises its happiness. The ev-reducing berries (pomeg, kelpsy, tamato, grepa, qualot and hondew) raise happiness as well. So do protein, iron, calcium, etc.

Alright, I finally, FINALLY evolved the Pichu. The sooner I get Level 3 befriending the more sanity I can keep

Neither my 3ds or my Wii U can connect to the internet. I think either Nintendo's service is down, or something's wrong with my own internet going to the game systems. Can we trade tomorrow, then? I'll figure out what's wrong in the morning.
