Both of those. "Why should you play" is important to get people to pay attention to our message. If people are interested, then we can get into introductions to the tier.

By the way I don't know if this is proper or anything but I think you should talk to Theorymon about becoming a mod of that section, because I think he is the only mod there...

My own pet project is the merits of a fanmade vs official game dev meta article to get people to think "hey Battle Spot isn't the worst thing ever just because there is no tiering process" but that gets too much into theoretical territory. lol.

That sounds like two separate articles but I'd be interested in helping out both. The "why" one seems manageable for just the two of us.

I don't think I would make a proper mod because I can lose my patience (if you saw that scuffle in the Battle of Legends thread) and I'm bad at irc but I'm flattered you think I would make a good one :D Theorymon has been going through irl shit lately so that's why he hasn't been active.

ok! lol! i can work on a draft and then post a thread for everyone to look at. Maybe we should just submit to C&C for a proper on-site article rather than a piece on the Smog.

The introduction article would be good for C&C but I think the "why you should play" article is sort of informal and an opinion piece so it would be better as a Smog article. I guess I'm a bit biased since I am going for the smog media badge atm but yeah that's what I think haha

Also I was thinking most of the modding is just easy stuff like deleting useless threads, stickying stuff, merging posts, and all that stuff that everyone knows but there are no mods around to actually do it. That fight was like a one time thing from people who aren't even part of that community imo

Alright, so intro to Battle Spot is for C&C and "why you should play Battle Spot" is for the Smog, correct? I noticed that there is an intro to Battle Spot thread on the subforum, but it predates Pokebank.

Yeah that's right, and yeah that article seems pretty short and is more general, we can probably do a longer one in an actual article.

I already got an outline about the stuff we want to address that we can truncate into an article pitch. Do you use gmail so we can collaborate on googledocs?
