ok so basically I'm kinda unimpressed.. I got locked for evading the chat filter. That in itself I can appreciate is perhaps a just punishment. But I complained first to another member of the global authority team who explained the practical implications of how much unicode there is etc. and explained that thus that's why they were handing out mutes cos of it. So I understand those sides of things, my 2 issues are 1] getting around the filter at the way it is literally takes no thought I should at least have to not use the blindingly-obvious-every-10-year-old-in-lobby-can-figure-out-and-spam method of NlGGER and FAGG0T I mean I understand obviously the unicode aspect is complex but it shouldn't be /that/ simple for someone to get around it.. whilst I guess the filter existing implies that you ought not to be trying to get around it, I guess my point is saying is that I feel it is just too weak. 2] If we are going to have a language filter, at least filter out another couple of the worse ones. I personally feel that fuck and cunt are on about the same level or worse than the currently filtered words, and ought to be implemented if this filter is to be implemented. So yeah thanks for reading this ;~;

I also appreciate that me doing that sorta crap in the lobby isn't a good idea in retrospect as one of the staff pointed out that me doing it there only directs it at people who are incapable of affecting it. So that's also part of why I've left you this vm.

We have the discipline appeals forum for appealing locks and bans, which you'd have been linked to when you were locked - why would you badger zarel and chaos, owners who were totally uninvolved in the incident, instead of just using the forum? You can also talk to an upper staff member on the sim if you have an issue with a driver/mod. I'm not trying to speak for them, but as a general rule it's annoying to bother the CEO or similar for very trivial things they have no connection to - they're extremely busy. If you want to argue your lock, read "how to make a discipline appeal" and post.

eh it's less about actually being locked and more about the whole issue with the filtering system. I dunno do you feel if I appealed for this one it might be removed?

I have no idea what the context was so I couldn't comment, that's for the mod in question to decide
