    well you can always improve it - I'd be more happy to see you put in a real effort in improving the analysis rather than see you drop it and pick up another one

    Just the write up. Tbh, telling you to rewrite the whole thing might be a bit harsh, but I do think you might need to take a more structured approach to the thing. We'll see how you incorporate all of Sweep and my changes that we want you to make. If you can do that without having to rewrite, that's fine, but don't be hesitant to start over (you don't have to go through QC again, just the writeup) if you feel that you need to restructure.

    Sorry about that thread getting necro-bumped. I just brought it up as a reference point, because I felt some people were using "uncompetitive" wrong. I wasn't trying to restart the debate in that thread by any means.
