Actually I do it all through emulators, Japanese Emerald -> Japanese Diamond. Desmume can emulate Pal Park. Then I put the Japanese Diamond on my TTDS (DS Flash cart) and transfer to a retail Heartgold, transfer from there to a retail White 2, transfer from that to Pokemon Bank, and then get them off bank. It's quite a journey :P
That's not your fault at all, it is entirely his fault to ask for the same Pokemon from two people and risk one of us cancelling the trade when he asks for something else. Don't sweat it :)
