Got to go with the Grass starter! I really like how it turns its neck in the animation and official artwork. ^^

Hopefully, it will keep it's cuteness and design coherence upon evolution.

Rowlet seems to be the popular one anyway.

Then there's poor little Popplio. It's probably the case with Oshawott. People hate it at first, then grow to love it.

Well, I've always gone with the Grass starter so far, so unless the evolution takes an entirely different direction I'm inclined to keep up that tradition. ;)

It also helps that owls are among my favorite animals (though on the other hand, it's a bit sad that the reptilian chain has been broken).

I might choose Litten for my first playthrough.

The break of the reptilian chain only makes things more interesting, right?

Usually I'd agree, but reptilians happen to be my favorite of type of Pokemon. Especially if they're Grass type. :(

Birds are close enough though, I guess.

I love every Pokémon introduced so far, so I don't really care about a design's looks.

But surely you have favorites as well, right? ;)

Not really, because I love all of them.

I'm starting my first playthrough with Litten and calling it "Jibanyan".

I have trouble with deciding a favorite, though. Clefairy seems to be the best bet, even though Kanto has most of my least favorite Pokémon (if there are any).
