Not my thread, and I'm not entirely sure where I was disrespectful.

Kingdra's coverage is also far superior to Toad so that statement is false. There's also Qwilfish, Mega Swampert (which is the main point of contention), and non-swift swimmers which absolutely belong on rain teams. You're also advocating rain teams as if they're viable. They're mediocre at best, and correlating road with rain does not do your argument any service.

Okay, I meant bulk not offenses. Calling it a gimmick is crappy. It has good power with LO, good bulk, and great speed under rain. I mean, if you can explain it being a gimmick you might convince me. Otherwise, good day.

It's a gimmick because any half decent player can recognize a rain team from a mile away, and seismitoad will always be running a special set, otherwise you lose out on important SpA benchmarks with your life orb. I'm not going to give you a million calcs cause I'm on the phone and you can do the research yourself. But the crux of my point is that there's nothing relevant that Toad does that other mons, and strategies that support those mons, do any better. It's not my responsibility to prove that Toad isn't a gimmick, it's up to you to prove that it isn't.

Also, since we're here and I wrote the mega swamp set, I can assuredly tel you there are multiple viable non-rain sets.
