You can trade with megastones in private trades like we're doing right now. What you can not do is send them over the Global Trade Station (GTS). :]

Oh, that's because I'm using my Pokemon X cartridge right now instead of ORAS, and Metagross' megastone cannot be transfered since it doesn't exist in this game. My bad.
