It's like nothing I've ever seen and ep 1 was like a short film in an episode--and a good one at that

it's on my watchlist alr fam. i personally don't watch new season animes until mid season but this season in particular is making me wanna wait for the whole thing to finish before binging in one shot.

Best non-sequel pilot of the season that I've seen so far, on par with Hibike for best pilot overall

how have the episode 1s been like?

Most of the stuff from the first few days was ass. Watch Tiger Mask, Izetta and, if you're up for an ironic watch, Magic-kyun! Renaissance out of the first weekend stuff. Keijo!!!!!!! is unironically interesting, and good new shows from the week are Flip Flappers, Gi(a)rlish Number, Yuri on Ice and Watashi ga Motete Dousunda. IDK what I think of the new WIXOSS, but it's completely separate from the old one from what I can tell if you're at all interested. Not finished the stuff from Saturday 2 yet out of the stuff that piloted on that day that I've seen from sat 2 ClassicaLoid was actually kinda cool and Long Riders! started out super strong. Drifters could either get pretty good or end up being a bad shounen. Other than that just watch any sequels you're interested in (ik you like Haikyuu!!, and Hibike was fucking perfect; if you watched Bungou Stray Dogs then the pilot for S2 was strong, and if you watched Bubuki Buranki then don't expect much from the S2 pilot).

If we don't get a solid yuri from Hibike I will be so pissed

bubuki was fuckin ass. those that hit me right off the bat are: all out, drifters, flipflapper, fume wo amu, giarlish number, keijo, *LONG RIDERS*, monster hunter, nanbaka, occultic;nine, shuumatsu, stella no mahou.

sequels are omitted cause well they are sequels :P i love the prequel then i'll love the sequel that's how i work :X interesting thoughts tho
