Dodrio got good buffs too, its going to come up at least two tiers. Matine is UU easily. Drio going to be UU too.

Mantine is going straight to OU kappa. This thing is a special Skarm with more HP, and it tanks SO MUCH

Drio will prolly have Mega Gallade syndrome relative to Staraptor and Swellow too

Personally I think Dodrio will break the chains of ru mid-late 7th gen. Normal/fighting coverage with boosting and recovery...its def giong to rise, how far is yet to be seen. Mantine hits like a wet blanket... Its basically a Blissey without Natural cure but hazard removal. Im pretty sure non-stab stone miss annihilates it. Lets not even mention rotom-w.

dude do u realise how fucking good this thing's typing+ability is? Like, genuinely if Mantine had Roost in gen 6 it'd probably be in, like, the top 3 fat waters in the game, and there's just more incentive to use it in gen 7 given the presence of stuff like Drizzle Pelipper. Not to mention it counters non-HP Elec Keld, which is huge considering how much it has to give up to run HP Elec, as well as the only set I can imagine Ash Greninja using (it's forced into HP Ghost and loses ORAS tutors) while not only having extremely nice utility in Defog, but also a Scald immunity (even with the burn nerf this is big) and enormous special bulk. Srs, this calc says it all: 252 SpA Choice Specs Hoopa-Unbound Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0+ SpD Mantine: 163-193 (43.5 - 51.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

**3HKO** on the move which almost singlehandedly broke OU without even having a type advantage. Obviously this isn't a Hoopa counter (Psyshock) but it really demonstrates how disgustingly fat this thing is.

i don't rlly see how Keldeo is at all comparable. one's offensive and the other's defensive. Rotom-W's not a great comparison either 'cause one's a pivot and the other's a straight-up wall.
