it's going to become very apparent very soon why the trump voters were ignored for so long. meanwhile the actual oppressed people are going to be actively marginalized and silenced to make room for the mystical trump voter. i wanna die

well it's not that i think they're (trump supporters) issues aren't "real", but the things they want aren't "compatible" or economically realistic to pursue in a developed economy. decent paying non-specialized manufacturing jobs were only ever feasibly in the US due to a complex medley of post-war global conditions. those conditions are no longer present, but you can't tell people their way of life is functionally extinct because we've developed past that. and that's not even touching the social issues because good lord the people that voted for trump because of those have a whole other set of problems that need to be addressed.
