Yeah, Alola Pokemon usually get either a Dark, Steel, or Fairy typing. So that fits.

I propose a Ground typing as well, though, so it gets access to STAB Drill Run and High Horse Power. ;)

Hmm... true, but I think it definitely ought to have dazzling gleam and STAB Play Rough. Maybe a new colour scheme too. A white-silver body and purple-blue-white flames perhaps?

Or a Ground/Fairy typing? It's one of the best offensive typings out there, so Rapidash-A might even see some usage in the higher tiers.
