i see bo3 as a much better mode of competition than bo1. i wasnt the one that implemented rby bo3, it has been in place since spl 6, but i see it as a positive and if the community wasnt so heavily against it i'd love to make more - if not all - tiers play as bo3 in spl.

this is because more games will, even without factoring in luck, in the long run reward the better, more consistent player. this is why, as an example, matches in tennis dont end after you got to 6-4 once, you have to do it twice or thrice to decrease variance and increase the odds of the better player winning.
