I was in your exact position bro, I would go to the gym now for sure; you increase your metabolism and start building muscle. Start with the 5x5 program, you can find it on stronglifts.com it is very simple, you do squats, bench and deadlift and some side work such as bicep curls and shoulder press. Just make sure you dont feel embarrassed to ask for help with your form at first, I regret not doing that lol

Thanks a lot on introducing me to the program, first time I heard about it and I'm going to start doing it today since I just got my membership card. I'm not going to lie it's going to be very embarrassing just asking for help I'm a skinny dweeb compared to these people haha.

Actually I do haha and it's stupid but is it normal for only your knees to feel pain when you're squatting? I though squatting was for your upper calves and every time I do it it just makes my knees hurt like hell.

I'm thinking about skipping squats post warm up and doing stuff like leg presses for my legs instead.

Nah it isnt lol, i think you may be putting too much strain on your knees by not having flexible hamstring / glutes so i'd warm those up alot before attempting squats

Any good exercises you'd recommend or just generic leg stretches for long periods will work.

Also hope you get into SPL esp DPP!

I warmup with leg extensions using the machine and doing hamstring curls you can also warmup using hack squat machine if you have one and put no weights on it since itll be heavy enuff for a warmup

I never heard of a hack squat machine but I'll try it, I might have ended up having a successful squat session because while the hour that I was squatting I ended up killing my knees a later my upper legs (I forget scientific name lol) is actually incredibly sore. Is that normal lol it doesn't sound norm.
