  • Exactly! First turn Fake Out is a MUST! Sometimes, people may see it coming, but most people won't.

Mattj used it against me in Top 16 and I beat it, but it was solid and really good. So yes, it is definitely a solid and viable team.
Yeah, Croak/Ogre is good. It's backups are Palkia with Haban Berry and an Abomasnow for double blizzard.

Shiftry/Groudon/Ho-oh/Gengar-you could start Groudon/Gengar and Earthquake, then bring in Shiftry later to explode. Ho-oh does colossal damage later and is a physical sweeper.
For Sunny Day, you'd use Groudon/Shiftry. Shiftry has Chlorophyll and can use Explosion while Groudon protects.
These are the MAIN teams and strategies. There are some more, which I'll talk to you about later. :)
Weather is ALWAYS NECESSARY to win games. Few teams work without it.

Toxicroak Kyogre is solid too. You use Croak's Fake Out along with Kyogre's Water Spout first turn. If Croak takes damage, you use it's Ability to heal itself when raining, something Kyogre does. It also knows Sucker Punch, which gets rid of OU Pokemon like Gengar, Mewtwo, and Azelf in one shot.
Not a bad idea, but keep in mind about Weather Control. Someone I switch in an Abomasnow during their turn and make it hail, taking away Jumpluff's ability. Then, STAB Blizzard hurts both Pkmn.
Sash Smeargle is used in Trick Room. The lead is Smeargle/Dialga. Smeargle uses Follow Me while Dialga sets up Trick Room. Smeargle IS supposed to get KOed Turn 1. If it doesn't, then it can Dark Void the opponent. The bakups are Kyogre and Abomasnow. First Kyogre switches in, and the Snow, making it Hail. Both Pkmn know Blizzard, and since Trick Room is up, both are pretty much attacking first. I used this at Nats, and it's pretty solid.
Kyogre's Drizzle Ability gives Rain, which makes Thunder 100% accurate and Water Spout a threat. Usually, Water Spout is done first with a Double STAB. Kyogre normally has Choice Scarf to outspeed Pkmn and hit first. A Full Water Spout can OHKO a ranked Mewtwo and do 45-50% to a tanked Dialga.
Alright. The main strategy is Weather Control. You really want to maintain weather so it works well for you. The main Pokemon are Groudon, Kyogre, and Abomasnow. Mewtwo and Abomasnow are usually paired up together because Snow makes it Hail. Both Mewtwo and Snow can learn Blizzard, so double Blizzard first turn does a lot of damage. Also, hail damage helps KO stuff, especially if they are brought down to Sash.
Yeah, I could. I got 7th at Nationals, so I have some skill. XD lol
