Was just trying to get a group together saw no harm in asking but someone apparently did

Well, you need permission.

And no offense, but you sure doing a League is good as your first thing you do on smogon will affect you the most. Also its hard, no one is co hosting for one and etc. Not to be offensive again, just trying to be helpful.

Yeah. I used to be like that when I first joined. Since then I've learned to take it easy and build a good foundation around me for the future to do fun things like this.
