Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Also, I have seen footage of said Starforce crossover, but I never got to play Starforce lol (my brother did tho; I just never found the time to get into it.) Never understood why it was cut (iirc, it's from a BN1 remake, no?)
On another note, I don't think I can get to 9 games that "defined" me / my taste for videogames without cheating (i.e. 1) Pokemon Yellow, 2) Pokemon HGSS 3) Pokemon BW, etc lol.) I'll try to enumerate 9 franchises where I actually got to play at least a game: Pokemon, MMBN, Kirby, Ace Attorney, TWEWY, ..., I think those are all. (cutting again)
I'd have to fill the rest up with card games: Yu-Gi-Oh, Vanguard, (PTCG, but that's a repeat franchise), and I'll still not make 9 lol. Oh, I also got to play a lot of DoTA 1 as a child lol, and it did kinda shape my interest in MOBAs a bit (I don't play any MOBAs now, tho; I did play LoL b4; good thing I didn't make my Smogon account then, or else my username would be something that has "Anivia" in it)
what do you mean by _that_ ? lol. if you are interested I can hook you up with em*lator
YOu're thinking of a different Mega Man Star Force crossover, that was a crossover between SF and BN, im talking about a crossover between SF and Boktai DS
there's nothin wrong with repeating things, it's just I had too manythings so I didn't. also mang in college you should not play too much games!!
_that_ was meant to be an italicized that lol. I meant something along the lines of "really good." Also, I can emulate, yes, lol. I know the ways of the pirate (I'm from a developing country, so I have an excuse haha.)
Woah, I didn't know there was one. I only knew abt that BN-SF "crossover" (it was more like a cameo imo). Was the Boktai-SF crossover like that as well?
DW, I won't play too much haha. I'm a gud student >:) (kidding aside, I do treat my studies seriously, which is why some of my status posts are like that (which I kinda regret now; I was just sad then, and I wanted to say something somewhere lol))
btw, it's past midnight here. It's been really great talking to you (I don't really talk much, so I appreciate having relatively long conversations with someone) :). I'll be back in a few hours.
Lol it's cool though Discord is probably better for that
And yeah Battle Network had crossovers with Boktai 2 and 3. In Boktai 2 there was a postgame story where Shademan manifests in the real world and MegaMan and Django team up to defeat him. Then there was a crossover battle mode where each player fights ShadeMan in each game, and can send certain sabotages to the other player.
In Boktai 3 it was the reverse, the Vampire Count from Boktai shows up in the Cyber world and Mega Man and Django hunt him down there. in the crossover battle both players fight the Count in their respective games
In Boktai DS, Taurus Fire from Mega Man Star Force shows up in the real word and the heroes of that game hunt him down. AFAIK there was no crossover battle feature though
these were close to impossible to ever do in real life though since Boktai 2 was such a niche game, and the feature only worked when you used the GBA wireless connector, which you could pretty much only get if you got FireRed/LeafGreen. I am pretty amazed that I was able to actually play it as a kid since my cousin happened to have BN5 and FireRed too.
woaaaaaaah; that's super cool lol. I think I'm actually familiar with the Shademan sidequest (I saw footage on YT) but I didn't know about the crossover battle one. Why would Django sabotage MegaMan, and vice versa??
Not sure if I misread that last sentence (first post) lol. Anw, you getting to play that as a kid is super cooool (the woah at the start was for that). I remember having a GBA w/ FireRed as a kid but lost it (FireRed was still slotted in) on a family trip. I still have my Shrek (and Cars) game cartridge tho, so I guess there's that looool.
Lol multiplayer is never canon, that's like asking why Mario and Luigi can fight each other in Smash Bros even though they're brothers
Shrek and Cars games tho lmao
My FireRed version broke because as a kid I had an oral fixation and I chewed on the game a few too many times >_> as an adult I learned that oral fixations are not too uncommon for kids so I feel less about about it
