i know what gmt is, i just get confused when someone puts a + next to it, as i cant google it. sorry. but if i assume correctly i think it would mean 1 am my time? i just wanted to confirm

Ah, yeah you just add 2 hours to GMT. For example it's currently 8:22 PM GMT, but 10:22PM GMT +2 and 6:22PM GMT -2 (for some examples). Doubt you need to google it, that said; are you perhaps from india? Would explain knowing IST and the suspected 3h30min time difference.
