Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Glalie for Megas. I run the Explosion Spikes set with Boom Custap Lax. Glalie struggles with Waters so we have our Electric Terrain core in the back. Koko is this set as it checks Axel Mega Lop. Val is brutal with Spikes. Treads is the best Hazard control. Gyara in the back for Water resist and set up on bulky waters. Lax is extremely good get out of jail free card.
Hera for Megas. Now this team might look Haram but trust me that it is very carefully constructed to get the Max Hera performance. I was just in the zone and chefed something crazy. I didn't even think it would be good but then I kept winning and knew I had something good on my hands. The team is pretty self explanatory. You just have to try it to know it's power.
https://pokepast.es/d4b6b5fa9910c04c It’s almost the end of the month meaning we won’t have more frantic fusions for a minute. Please give us a little more FF hilarity with the new and improved Iron Golem team. I adjusted evs to lean more into balance and replaced Tenta with Quavo. Quavo’s fused with Garg to pivot out of ghosts into Jug.
There is a glitch in Pokepaste where it reduces your IVs like old gens when you run Hidden Powers. This is not needed anymore so maie sure you fix IVs of mons with it when you use the tesms. No reason to play with worse stats.
Audino for Megas. Now what Audino has over Alo is Knock, Encore and obv her Mega. In late game scenarios, that large stat boost with Mega is enough to close out a lot of end games. I pair her with bulky mons that can switch-in on their own and appreciate a bit of healing. Firstly we got Fini, great defogger and fairy till you Mega.
Aero team for Megas. I run Aero on Sand with Roost for Gen 5 UU throwback. Can easily switch into Zard Y, Shadow Balls etc. SpDef Hippo as it is literally the goat and shuts down Electric Terrain, Zard Y, Rain teams. Spd Curse Garga as under Sand this thing is illegal. You wall Specs Keldeo in Sand. Curse is good for Speed drop into Slwoking G Alo structures.
Mawile for Megas. I pair Maw with Rilla, grassy helps Maw a ton and good offensive core. Pech is good with Terrain and opens up new opportunities with Parting Shot. Slowking is there as Lele, Urshifu check and FS helps vs Mega Venu. Kommo O for rocks and Zard Y check.
Venu for Megas. Now, I found perfect Synergy for Venu, E Terrain! Koko takes on Corvi, Zap, Molt while Venu stops opposing Moth, Val from becoming a problem. Kommo O also has great synergy as Venu beats all fairies and Kommo O beats Zard Y, Corvi. Treads is Edge for Volc who 6-0es otherwise. Torn is Heat Wave for Ferro, Sciz.
Ttar for Megas. Now with M Tar, I always like to run a big bulky Pursuit guy that is unable to be killed by special moves, even Zard Y Blast. I pair him with IDef Za as it appreciates Pursuit the most. Specs Kyurem for immediate power and enjoy Slowking G being trapped. Treads to bait Knock Off into Birds for Za and Bolt check. Mola brings all our annoying guys back.
Chomp for Megas. I always like running Chomp on Sand because you have immense power and backup Seed control. I run CM Clef in the back because it puts a lot of pressure on the opponent to not lose Clef answers to our Sand guys. AV Tang is a good pivot into everything and takes pressure off drill from switching into Electrics. Torn T is backup speed control.
Bee for Megas. Now I pair Bee with Fini because Molt has a 1000% usage. Fini is good into Sucker, Samu H, Dragons. I run zone for Corvi and I run a cool set that often gets 2 for 1. Molt is there for Zard, Volc, Lucha. Melly is good partner to Zone and is Lele, Kyurem check.
Lopunny team for Megas. Now, I pair Lop with Belt Zama to overload Helmet teams. I run Fini for Misty and it's good into Urshifu. Slowking for Future Sight with our double fighting. Lastly this Hoopa U set is always amazing. We have so much anti offense and good pivots so Hoop is there to break
Mega Pert for Megas. The thing with M Pert is that he will always lose to Mola and there is nothing you can do about it except Sub Bulk Up but that loses to all Grasses and Dragons so is ass. I tried my best to give Pert good support with Offensive Torn T and Arch but at the end of the day, you will heavily struggle into Mola.
Zard X team for Megas. Now Zard X is usually pretty bad because it just gets Molaed. So I got this sheist Sub SD set that sets up on Mola in fact. I also run SD Z Fire Blaziken and SD LO Lilli H for overloading. Lilli is mad under explored. It OHKOes even Slowking G raw at +2 and Corvi with Rocks. Blaziken is always broken with this set under Sun.
Zard Y team for Megas. Overheat is a cool tech because it gets impossible OHKOs like Gliscor, Lando T etc. Don't really need Solar Beam as we are supported by Proto guys. AV Pursuit Gambit is there for Chansey and Fairies. Bolt can always force a kill. Moon is extremely good speed control. Tusk is there for Spin.
yo i think i saw NathanLikesChicken play with this team in ou once. really fun bulky offense with av hoopa-unbound and specs iron crown, i think i peaked around top 150 with it. this was in april of last year tho so idk if its still good.
Do you ever miss gen 8? Usually I don't, but sometimes I do. This is a gen 9 team with mons that were good in gen 8. It has a Slowking, which is one of my favorite Pokemon.
