    No, it was normal ape. The idea was to bait you into using Earth Power, hence the switch to Gengar right after. It did have Mach Punch, though I don't think you were quite into the guaranteed kill range (it does something like 39-47%).

    ...and I was thinking I needed a better Infernape counter, which is why Gyara and Gengar ended up on that team at all :P

    The crit kind of made up for the missed fire blast. If that Fire blast had hit then grass knot would have killed Gyarados after the extra damage.

    GG. I misclicked EQ with gyarados. I meant to go with Stone Edge. Great game nonetheless, very close.

    Well I agree that crits are worse. What exactly were you gonna use with Scizor to ko Luc? Cuz without the crit, I would've certainly 2hitko'd.
    GG. And you could say that. Though the Focus Blast miss almost won it for you. Not quite as bad as a crit, but a little bit of an even out.
