I just want to take a moment to throw out a word of caution. Wherever you are on the internet, especially when engaging with users from Smogon or Showdown, really be careful of what you say and how you behave. Just because Pokemon Showdown's or Smogon's global rules aren't enforced outside does not mean it's safe to start making inappropriate conversations in any manner, even as a joke. PS Private rooms, hangout discord servers, and casual Smogon conversations are not exceptions to this, and you could be lured into a worse scenario one day, caught, and wind up in a bad position as a contributor. 2020 has been a big year for Smogon. Our moderation team seems to be more professional than ever before and this year we've either permabanned or permanently demoted a significant amount of our past contributors for believing they could behave much differently outside our own directories here on Smogon. We've punished some of our past contributors for things I'm sure they would've gotten away with 5-10 years ago and that's great! We're genuinely making Smogon a better place for more people. However great that is, it also means you all will have to make extra sure that you as an IS user are fitting in as a great role model for Smogon. If you know you are doing that, then great job! Thanks for making Smogon a better site for everyone
