Ok then I get rid of the Defenses part then since there honestly isnt any other Pokemon with high appearance rates that give defense EV's lol
Yeah! Thats what I do pretty much. I use Falcon Slash + Uber Falcon Slash on my Warrior. I only have one Uber Falcon Blade unfortunatly, so I just use Ederick's Sword on my Minestral for when I have him spam that.
Against really strong grottos, the normal Falcon Blade just doesn't seem to cut it on my Minestral when they have a crapload of defense... Octagoons are tough. Minestrals just can't break Octagoons with a Falcon Blade.
My strategy against bosses is spamming Gritty Ditty, Multi Healing, and spamming Falcon Slash/Whirlwind Slash.

Anyways besides Magnemite is there anything else I should remove? (Im leaning towards loosing Poochyena in Attack)
And now that were on the same page with the routes / places thing should I merge the whole Magma Hideout Defense thing into "hotspot places"? Thus leaving the EV training for Defense blank (Since its like THE ONLY place I could find with actually decent encounter rates...)

And if im not removing the Defense place then I dont think I should remove the Rusturf Tunnel since its available very early in the game, and has low level Pokemon.
Ok how about this I get rid of all the seperate Pokemon and just leave the hotspot routes?

Since the ones in defense are all in the same area.
And I looked through all the defense Pokemon in emerald and those Pokemon I have listed ARE the easiest ones to find.

I just put the others there so it added more to the list, I didnt want to have some super short list at first lol.
Yes it would make sense to just leave the ones with 100% appearance rate there but what if your not that far in the game? I guess then it would be helpful =/
But other then that small percent guess not other then making the guide a bit larger...
First I put Pokemon that have high appearance rates in.
Then I added in routes incase you just wanted to EV train on one route.
Yes like Desert Pass as it has 100% chance to encounter an HP EV yielding Pokemon.
Or like routes like the one with Manectric and Linoone.
I added in routes like this rather then put like 5 pokemon in seperately when some are in the same area.

If you revocate, it pretty much insures you will be capable of getting the strongest treasure maps in the game.
I know my team doesn't have a real strategy like yours does, but all my guys are overleveled in their high 50s/low 60s which is enough to keep me satisfied with beating grotto bosses until I finish everything up for my final team.
I have been using Minestral/Thief/Sage/Warrior. I am doing this slowly, but I guess its the way I enjoy the game. xD
No rush for me! I actually beat the game in around 95 hours. I spend time grinding, doing sidequests and such instead of beating out the story immediatly.

I have a level 75 Minestral. I want to make him level 99 before I turn him back to level one for stronger grotto maps.
Then once I do all that stuff, my final team would probably be like... Paladin, Gladiator, Gladiator, Sage.
That is the bog standard grotto cleaning team. :P
I usually use whatever I feel like. I am currently focusing on maxing out all the original classes, then changing them to classes I want to make them. For example, if your Priest maxed out his job skills, he will have more Magical Mending as a Sage.
I just want to do all that stuff first, and the fact I am too lazy to grind at level 1 for now. xD
