yes thats what most people do, even tho with RNG abuse they are is no much point of it since the same pokes with different OT's are everywhere.
Although, now with B/W out and until the RNG gets cracked there, the rights thing is going to be used A LOT(Since it wont be so easy to get a pokemon and dont forget there are like 400 pokemon which can be used competitively and had to be bred in B/W)

if a pokemon is fully redis and everyone has it on his/her thread then it loses its value since you can get it from everywhere right? thats why people(including me) make their pokemon No-Redis
well its basically like a shop
you have an exclusive item in your shop which sells like mad. you are not going to let someone who buys it from you to sell it to a third person
more people dont like full redis because it removes the value of a pokemon
