  • ...I thought we were using 17 actors. ._.

I'll make them when I can.

    Indeed, it must be it.

Yeah, I gotcha. The only enemy sprites I'll be making are Captain Hugh and the Puppet from the Tutorial. So yeah. I also got the enemy-'classes' up to the third dungeon planned except for generic units that appear everywhere, and the 'big boss rooms' are planned except for the Shadow Queen and Test of Courage Bosses. And that's because I'm still designing them. I'm thinking of making it a mirror-based teleportations for the Test of Courage with tonnes of different tile sets as you go through this huge ass dungeon to reach each boss. As for Shadow Queen...I'm clueless.

    Hm.
Because I always use cheesy jokes?

Why did you invite me to work on the game again? You need a reminder.

    Fine, fine, whatever.
    How 'bout a banjo? *badum-tish*

Yeah, but then it looks stupid. Because, in order to attack, the enemies and actors have to move across the screen.

Just adding '\n[x]:' or '\c[x]\n[x]\c[0]' would be sufficient.
    Yay.

Here, use a kazoo next time. *hands kazoo*

Yes. They are animated by default in the side vs side style of it.

    >___> The ones that show up when dialog occurs, or in the menu.
Also, I'm considering just not using the portraits. Everything just seems to flow smoother without them. =/
The same thing design wise, but it just displays HP and SP.

    Hooray, I win. *confetti*

Wat. I kind of need to make those to make battle sprites. >_>

    Hooray!

This Menu design, with all the stats.

I'll read them anyways, for the lulz.

I meant for generic enemies and characters.

    DO IT (BAN ME PLEASE).
I'll read them anyways, for the lulz.

I assume I'll also be designing the overworld sprites?

    >_>

Okay. I'm trying to find all teh codes I can. And I still haven't found a good Keygen. Which one did you use, by chance?
    Downloaded it.

cbf to, probably won't fit the mood of the game, etc.

=/ Well, go into the game files and open and listen to the musics.

    Yuppers.

    There is tonnes of justice.

Also, finished all the character-passive skills, and the character-passive-aggressive skills, now I'm working on enemy-passive, enemy-passive-aggressive, character-aggressive, and enemy-aggressive skills. I've also made a list of enemies in the first part of the game. It's still beta, but yeah.
I'll get that tomorrow. I need to upload it to the resource file anyways.

Meh, I don't know if I can do that. I can't write a musical piece by ear, and I don't know how to extract the voices without a multitude of file glitches. And VGM with voices sucks unless its ominous chanting.

Well, at least give me your thoughts on the music, minus the Boss music. :<

Yeah, IIRC, any button with a designated purpose but the arrow keys will work.

    Do it, for great justice.
    Rapidshare/Megaupload/Email Attachment ftw?

Yeah, the sheet music is an unimplimented idea as of yet, because it's going to take a really long time to code it. It's going to be one item that works on a tonne of switches. Also, talk to Elizabeth (the girl at the piano), if you haven't already. She doesn't sell sheet music, but she does play a catchy tune for 20g. Oh, and the boss takes extra damage from Fire Attacks, and attacks mainly with Ice Attacks, so keep that in mind when shopping.

Here are the text editor codes:
\c[#] - Colors, 0 and anything above 30 are default.
\n[#] - Displays an Actor name, useful for 'Player gets too name em' characters.
\g - Displays the amount of gold you have while talking to them.
\! - Makes it so you can't progress without a button prompt.

And that's what I mainly use.

Well, just read it. It's awesomely long. But, man, I wanted to see it crash and burn. You know, for the lulz.
Just send me a download link to said Excell document and I'll get it tomorrow.

Eh, just make sure you talk to everyone. Unless two people have the same face sprite and are two or less squares away from each other.

In the meantime, I'm thinking up some new items. Because, tbqh, the last list was rather...short.

Also, you missed the Twilight bash in Misc. It was awesome. :< It's still there if you want to give it a look-over. If it was left open, I imagine it would derail onto Haruhiism.
    inorite

Well, a Passive Skill is like a Defensive one, like Healing, Stat Boosting, etc. A Passive Agressive skill is a skill that deals damage through indirect means, i.e. draining HP, and an Aggressive skill is a skill that deals damage, nothing more, nothing less. Almost all the Passive and Passive-Aggressive skills are done, though. Even SP cost. IIRC, I got about 40 done in less than an hour, and then I took a break to play Earthbound.
Oh, and I'm compiling everything into a single game file atm. So I would really like those stats. 8D I've got some generic enemies planned for the first area, too. Only one drops items, though. :<
Test the Tutorial, reply back with thoughts plz.
I have to thank you, though. This may seem odd, but I am thankful that you were so presiged. I felt that I had to create a "Super Team", and put an insane amount of effort into it. Now, I have an awesome team to ladder with.
What screwed me over was the fact that you roared on the second turn, which I have NEVER experienced before, tossing me out of my element. I guess what they say is true, that If you want to beat somebody in a tournament, use sub-standard or just plain odd sets.
