I was incredibly skeptical of the idea, too, before I met Morm, but overall, the few experiences I've had meeting smogoners IRL have gone really well. Morm's probably the only internet person I've become truly close to, though. I mean, there are people on here I'm friendly enough with, but there is still a difference between smogon friends and real friends. The former can turn into the latter sometimes, though, too, as it has for me and Morm. Another example is the VGCers, who are a fairly tight-knit group IRL. From the people I've met from here, the worst I can say about any of them is that they're dorks... but then, this is a Pokemon site, so we're all dorks. lol

Well I need flawless IV's on them like 31/31/31/x/31/31 or 31/x/31/31/31/31. I'm almost sure all of them dont :(
Yeah, the forums are pretty much dead right now in general... I like to read stuff in DT and C&C, but I'm kinda too busy with real-world things to learn enough about Pokemon to feel comfortable posting there. After my finals are over, I'll probs do more actual Pokemon lol.
And don't worry about it; it's not like other people's opinions of you matter that much in the long run anyway, especially on the internet. The only ones who do matter are those who end up becoming friends.

Look at my VMs-- I don't even talk to any of these people extensively other than Morm! I have no reason to defend them, except that I respect their intellects. I can easily prove my credentials, and chaos is the owner of this entire website whose credentials are known by pretty much everyone. As for the others, well, if you read their posts (which I know you won't, but whatever), you'll see what I mean.
But regardless, you're extremely narrow-minded. And you wonder why so many people dislike you, when it's incredibly obvious to everyone that you're incredibly full of yourself without really having done anything of substance to back it up (to our knowledge).
Well, Morm did, and you were friends with him. Back in the days of Firebot, chaos used to post there all the time, and he's a Princeton alum. Whistle is pretty damn smart, as are Brain and FlareBlitz. I post there, and if things go well, I'm gonna be a brain surgeon--I already have the grades and resume to get into a top-tier med school, but we'll see. I mean, there are a lot of idiots, yeah, but it's just another way to pass time.
Also, LOL 4chan. Sorry, but if you go on 4chan and then make the blanket statement that all a forum posters are idiots, it's very relevant, as you are both judgmental and hypocritical.

Yeah, most of the threads are terrible, but again, it has its moments. I kinda miss it when there was Congregation of the Masses, where there was a lot more good discussion and fewer threads that were full-on retarded, but meh.
Eh, it has its ups and its downs. Kinda fun to troll there, kinda fun to get into debates on science and religion there... but there are a lot of dumbasses, I'll give you that. It's a waste of space, but one that can sometimes be mildly entertaining.
