Oh yeah, yesterday I forgot to help you. While we arrange a meeting on IRC, start looking for spreads using the Time Finder button, then clicking on the 4th gen Egg IVs. Enter the IV or range of IVs you would like the offspring to have.
Then click the box that says "use parents' IVs" and enter your parents' IV, and generate.
Now, if I remember correctly, you had an even delay, right? You have to copy and paste the seed in 4th Gen Seed to Time and see if you get an even delay. When you see one, repeat the process you did when you got your Tangela.

I'll tell you a Trick so that it stops happening: If you stop saying that, it has a higher chances of not happening again. A "slow" person wouldn't have learned how to abuse the RNG of HGSS.
