yeah, its a small world on smogon. shadow pokemon is a branch of recoloring that i made up myself, if you were wondering about that. i make userbars as well, but i use a specific program, so i can't tutor that.
Right. This is known as recoloring. It is the first step in learning to sprite. Next, is simple fusions, or if you'd like to learn revamps/devamps(another type of recoloring) talk to yahtzee.

I use MS Paint, man. No need to go over complicated. Then, for transparency, I use Iaza.com, and then Imageshack.com to upload. And of course I can help you! Also, Smogon Spriters does have a tutoring program, where pros help the novices become not-novices! still working on slogan.
