No, Team Hydro is a brand new group led by someone who has no experience with social groups. He wouldn't have any influence.
What I suggest is:
-Delete all the current discussions
-Set down some rules
-Make it so only you can post discussions (remember, it was other peoples discussions that caused problems)
This should help not only prevent arguments, but also keep STR organized.
