Do you have footage of this? The original source Bulbapedia links to is Showdown admin DaWoblefet's post from the SwSh Battle Mechanics Research thread, which I'd assume is very reliable.

Actually now that I have read through everything again, I think I was misunderstanding something. It says that you can POISON opponents, which is true, if you target the other opposing Pokemon you can poison the steel type. You just can't hit them, but no one said that you can. So Bulbapedia is right, I just got confused because of the way it was written. Sorry
